All of Australia’s 44 Toys R Us stores now set to close by August 5
THERE are just nine days left — at most — before Toys R Us leaves Australia forever. Here’s everything you need to know to score a deal.
IT’S your last chance to bag a bargain, with up to 70 per cent off remaining Toys R Us stock until the chain closes its doors for good.
Everything that’s left in Australian stores is now between 50 and 70 per cent off — including store fittings and fixtures — in the company’s final 10-day sale.
An Australia-wide, 30 per cent off sale had originally been announced, although that has since been stepped up significantly.
Yesterday, administrator McGrathNicol said it had now accelerated the liquidation of stock, with Aussie stores set to shut for good at some point during the first weekend of August.

The business went into voluntary administration in May, and administrators revealed last month that all Toys R Us and Babies R Us stores across the country would fold.
The announcement followed the failure of Toys R Us in the US in March.
Around 700 jobs will be lost in the mass closures.
In South Australia, the only store that remains is at the Gepps Cross store, as outlets at Noarlunga and Tea Tree Gully have already shut.
Nine stores, including Innaloo and Joondalup in Western Australia, closed ahead of schedule after being cleared of stock.
Shops at Werribee and Knox City in Victoria will close this coming weekend.
McGrathNicol restructuring partner Jason Preston all of Australia’s stores had experienced a major surge in sales since the shut down process began.
“The realisation of stock across the network will enable all employee accrued entitlements, including redundancy payments, to be paid to Toys R Us and Babies R Us employees shortly after the termination of their employment,” Mr Preston said.
Toys R Us Australia’s online ordering system has already ended and gift cards will no longer be honoured.
Final sale information will be published at www.toysrus.com.au, or on Facebook.
