Sue and Steve Williams attempted to buy a portable solar panel online through website Oz Best Buys but ended up disgusted at the treatment Sue received by the online customer service representative, who called her a “stupid c---“ for asking when her purchase would be shipped. A PERTH grandmother has received an apology after being labelled a “stupid c...” by a disgruntled online business owner.

Gordon Akman, who owns and operates the website Oz Best Buys, blasted Sue Williams and her husband Steve at the weekend and said he didn’t want “f...ing idiots” as customers.

According to The Sunday Times he sent an angry email to the couple after they sent him at least five emails about a portable solar panel they ordered on his site.

Mrs Williams sent a series of emails asking how long the panels would take to ship because the couple were travelling and the shipping address would depend on the estimated date of arrival.

Mr Akman responded politely to the first two emails but then lost patience.

“You made this purchase at 10.17pm Sunday night,” Mr Akman wrote.

“Despite having your pestering messages replied to very quickly you have continued to behave like an absolute f...wit.

“You are one hell of a rude stupid c.... you have been given a full refund and are banned from the store.”

Mr Akman initially said he thought the language he used was justified.

“I have had six emails from these f...ing idiots after putting in an order on Sunday night, before it’s even midday on Monday,” he told The Sunday Times.

But following a public backlash, he later apologised, sending the pair an email that said: “I made a big mistake swearing that I deeply regret”.

“I didn’t know the person I was emailing was a grandmother (not that it wouldn’t have been wrong if it were anyone else).

“I feel really bad about it and sincerely apologise.”

Mrs Williams said she was happy Mr Akman had apologised.
