Atlas Iron seeks suspension extension

ATLAS Iron has asked for an extension to its share trading suspension as it continues carrying out a review and talking with creditors and contractors.

No respite for Rio's competitors

ATLAS Iron has asked for an extension to its share trading suspension as it continues carrying out a review and talking with creditors and contractors.

Atlas, which recently shut its three Pilbara mines, said it was not in breach of its debt covenants and the recent falls in the iron ore price had left the company with little choice but to suspend production in April.

“Recognising the significance of the current iron ore price and its impact on Atlas business, the company is in ongoing discussions with its creditors, contractors and a range of other parties as part of its continuing operational and financial review,” Atlas said.
