HP launches its first Chromebook PC
HP has launched its first computer to run a Chrome operating system, but how does it weigh up?
HP has launched the "Chromebook" - its first computer to rock a Chrome operating system.
The 14-inch computer sports a 1.1GHz Intel Celeron 847 processor and 1366 x 768 screen. It also has 2GB of RAM, and 16GB of flash storage.
It's considerably heavier than its competitors, weighing in at "just under 4 pounds", according to HP, which is about 1.8kg.
It also comes with 2 USB, HDMI and Ethernet sockets, as well as an SD memory card reader.
The computer costs $330, about $80 more expensive than its Samsung competitor, but it also comes with 100GB of storage on Google Drive - which isn't a bad deal.
It also claims to have four hours and 15 minutes of battery life before recharging.
The Chromebook is available for order in the US. No word yet on its Australian launch.
