13 Days of Christmas

This festive season, Northpoint Shopping Centre is launching their first ever 13 Days of Christmas. Inviting shoppers to enjoy more with exciting offers across retail and food. From November 28 to December 14, shoppers who spend $20 or more in a day centre-wide can select a free gift from the Pick-A-Present promotion courtesy of Northpoint retailers. They’ll also automatically go into the draw to win a $1,000 gift card.

Parents with Prams Bay Run

The Parents with Prams walking group at Lilyfield runs on Mondays where they meet in front of Le Montage Café and walk the Bay. It’s a great way to meet other parents, get active and let your new bundle of joy enjoy the delights of the outdoors.

Giant gingerbread train

Festive revellers will take the sweetest ride on executive pastry chef Anna Polyviou’s giant gingerbread train. A merry destination on Sydney’s Christmas calendar, Polyviou’s whimsical works of sweet art, festive high tea and pop-up treat store will delight adults and children alike. The hotel’s 4-metre gingerbread train and carriage combines over 1,000 kilos of gingerbread bricks, 500 kilos of lollies, 100 kilos of fondant, giant lollipops and candy canes, with oodles of cheery icing.

Festive high tea

Add a touch of festive magic to your seasonal celebrations with a merry festive high tea, created by executive pastry chef, Anna Polyviou. Delight in 3 tiers of mouthwatering sweet and savoury treats including the fluffiest buttermilk vanilla scones, with clotted cream.

The ANZAC Legacy in NSW: Then and Now

2018 marks the centenary of the signing of the Armistice and in honour of all who fought and served in the First World War, the Parliament of New South Wales is proud to present The Anzac Legacy in NSW: Then and Now. Learn about the celebration, sorrow and commemoration that followed the end of the First World War. The exhibition presents a display of artefacts, photographs, rare documents, NSW honour rolls and a collection of the Parliament’s own Centenary Statements, delivered in both Houses over the last 4 years.

Also featured are the stories and experiences of Indigenous servicemen and the journey towards recognition.

Festive high tea

The QVB has opened its doors to a  Fairytale Christmas. Visit the centrepiece of Christmas in the City, the Swarovski Christmas tree. 24 meters tall, spanning 3 floors, covered in 100,000 crystal ornaments and 65,000 lights. On level 2, the QVB Enchanted Garden welcomes visitors amongst blooming wildflowers, woodland creatures and spellbinding lights to see Santa Claus.

In a first for the QVB, beloved pets are also welcome to join the annual family Christmas photo. Bookings now open.
