The Mysteries of Mad River: A Swamp-Folk Operetta
Award-winning songwriter Keppie Coutts presents an eccentric, Freudian, and sparkling piece of musical theatre, that is one-part cabaret, one-part mystery. Tickets $20 each or you can purchase a family group ticket for $60 (2 adults and 2 children between 5 and 12 years of age). The In-flight bar and diner will be open before the performance, so you will be able to grab some food and drinks before the show begins.

Mov’in Bed is the biggest outdoor bed cinema in the world. With 150 beds available under the stars grab your partner or get a group of friends together and enjoy a beautiful summer night under the stars with a glass of wine and some popcorn. Blacktown Night Markets
The vibrant food market has returned to Blacktown's Village Green on Friday 28 September, 2018 and reoccurs on the last Friday of each month. Host to some of the best food trucks and stalls Sydney has to offer, it is a night out that the whole family will enjoy. Music, food truck lane, as well as a dedicated street food and dessert section will all be back- there will be plenty of new faces as well as old favourites.

Carols and Christmas Markets in the Park
From 3pm at Mascot Memorial Park on December 1st there will be a Christmas market with lots of stalls and activities. Carols will kick off at 6pm with performances from different local community organisations, hosted by Monica Trapaga. You do not need to buy tickets or register for this community event, just simply grab the family or some friends and show up on the day and soak up the amazing Christmas spirit.

Coogee Carols
The 17th Annual Coogee Carols will be in full swing on Sunday 16th December at Goldstein Reserve, Coogee Beach. This free family friendly event is sure to get you in the Christmas spirit and is known to draw an audience from local and surrounding areas. Hosted by Amanda Keller, there will be local celebrities and personalities, an appearance by Santa, and a fireworks display to finish the night.

Sustainability Hub Working bee
Looking to get involved in a community project that will make a difference? Why not go along to the next working bee at the Seven Hills Sustainability Hub? The Hub is a showcase environmental education centre run by us. The site is the base for many environmental education programs that aim to inspire the residents of Blacktown City to be environmentally aware and live more sustainably. They hold regular working bees at the Sustainability Hub where volunteers can help with a range of tasks to help maintain the garden and demonstration areas.
Over the coming months the hub has plans for:
- building new beds
- creating new demonstration gardens and areas to run workshops
- planting a food forest and pollinator garden
- creating more habitat for our garden wildlife including frog, lizards, beneficial insects, and birds

Forró: Brazilian Partner Dance Class
Join Oi Forrozeiros and Forrozeiras every Tuesday 6 pm for a one hour lesson and a social dance at 7 pm. Students are asked to follow the level they were assigned to during evaluation day. If you don’t remember your level or if you haven’t been evaluated, but wish to be, ASK one of the volunteers. Evaluations will be done in the social if time permits, until the 4th week of the term. Please do not go to levels you have not been assigned to, as this interferes with the development of the class and other students. All participants must be 18 and over.
