What Guy Sebastian’s neighbour said to him in bitter feud

Guy Sebastian’s neighbour has cleared up whether he made comments about putting a “bullet” in the singer amid a feud.

Guy Sebastian’s neighbour relieved after charges dropped

Guy Sebastian’s neighbour has spoken out about what he said to the singer just one day after charges were dropped against him in the pair’s bitter legal fight.

Phillip Richard Hanslow had been charged with escalating the long-running feud, allegedly intimidating Mr Sebastian outside their Maroubra homes on January 23 with threats to kill.

Mr Hanslow’s lawyer Bryan Wrench told Waverly Court on Wednesday that the charges of stalking with intent to cause physical harm and damaging property had been withdrawn and dismissed.

“As I’m sure your honour can appreciate, the whole affair has been pretty stressful for Mr Hanslow,” he told the court.

But Mr Hanslow has come forward and revealed more details about the pairs fight when asked about whether he said he would put a bullet in the singer’s head while sitting down with A Current Affair.

“I said to him, ‘You’re such a nasty *****, it’s a wonder someone hasn’t put a bullet in your head,” he said on the program.

Mr Hanslow said that he never said he would “smash” Mr Sebastian.

“That was not said at all, I have diverticulitis, herniated discs in me back, sciatica, a buggered wrist, meniscus and knees are gone, I need a knee replacement and I‘ve got Fibromyalgia which is constant nerve pain and brain fog,” he said.

“Now why would I say that to a fifth 40 year old person who I would have no chance against?”

In response to the allegations of death threats, police requested an interim apprehended violence order against the 66-year-old which prohibited the neighbour from contacting the pop star or entering his property.

Despite the charges being dropped, the AVO will remain for four more months and will expire in August without admissions to the offences.

The legal battle is seen as the climax to six years of tensions between the neighbours, which kicked off when Mr Sebastian and wife Jules began building their “fortress-like” home.

Mr Hanslow claimed that the extensive building works on the $3.1 million Maroubra home created a “massive amount of friction” in the neighbourhood over three years.
