Yumi Stynes under fire again, this time over tweets about One Direction during The X Factor
CONTROVERSIAL host Yumi Stynes launched into a Twitter rant last night during The X Factor, taking aim at One Direction and one of the show's young contestants.
YUMI Stynes has copped plenty of backlash for her controversial remarks in the past. So you've got to ask, hasn't she learnt her lesson?
The Mix 106.5 radio co-host hit Twitter last night during The X Factor, taking aim at the members of One Direction, who were performing on the show.
Stynes took to the social networking site while the penultimate episode aired at 7.30pm, making the following comments about the young members of the boy band.
Watching 1 D is a game of Spot The: 1. Coke habit 2. Gay kid 3. Solo artist 4. Future fatty 5. Hateful git
If I was stuck in a men's prison, and 1D were my cell mates, I guess I could STAND IT if I had to rub butts with Harry
Weirdly, right after that prison tweet the two gay guys on Modern Family got rear ended
The 38-year-old mum-of-two must have been watching Seven's talent show with her young daughters because she followed up with this tweet.
Kids are unmoved by 5 Erections. They're lobbying for Modern Family.
Stynes was also also openly critical of judge Redfoo, tweeting that the singer "must be stoned" on live television.
Unusually concise for Redfoo. He must be stoned.
But the outspoken media personality wasn't done yet. She then took aim at 20-year-old X Factor contestant Taylor Henderson.
I am psychic and my senses tell me that Taylor spends 80% of each day with his butt clenched tight.
Is Taylor TRYING to look like Jodie Foster's pimp?
Stynes came under fire in February 2012 while discussing a photo of Victoria Cross recipient Ben Roberts-Smith on Channel 10's The Circle with veteran journalist George Negus.
"He's going to dive down to the bottom of the pool to see if his brain is there," Stynes commented about a photo of the war hero in a pool.
An online hate campaign, including physical threats and threats against her children, ensued.
Stynes and Negus later publicly apologised to Roberts-Smith.
Stynes declined to comment on the tweets when contacted by news.com.au today.
