‘Westworld’ airs four-minute sex scene that leaves nothing to the imagination

FIFTY extras participating in four straight minutes of group sex. HBO’s new series Westworld may have just aired the wildest sex scene ever seen on television.

IT HAS already caused a stir thanks to Thandie Newton and Evan Rachel Wood stripping completely naked.

But Westworld has now taken things to a whole new level with an epic four minute orgy scene — which aired this week, The Sun reports.

During the episode, called Contrapasso, guests William and Logan find a new part of the park — alongside robot Dolores, played by Evan Rachel Wood.

The area — Pariah — is filled with thieves, delinquents, outcasts and sex-lovers, so when the group help out the locals they are rewarded generously ... with an orgy.

And now the episode’s director Richard J. Lewis has revealed he was trying to create the ‘best sex orgy you can imagine’.

Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter about the eye-popping scene, which included fifty extras, he said:

“We wanted to do something that’s epic. [Westworld showrunners Jonathan “Jonah” Nolan and Lisa Joy] always wanted to do the biggest, best and most mind-blowing stuff, so we wanted to create the best sex orgy you can imagine.

“To that effect, we had some stylists. We really curated the scene to the T. Sometimes, to me, it has almost a medieval flavour. You can’t categorise it, because it’s so uniquely strange and beautiful in a way.”

Discussing those who took part in the scene — which has been compared to the orgy set-piece in Stanley Kubrick’s 1999 erotic film Eyes Wide Shut — he said: “I don’t take care of that end of things, so I don’t know. We hired what they called “special extras,” “special background players,” who were willing to participate.

“We also had a sex stylist who made sure things looked properly choreographed in that regard. It was all hands on deck, to say the silly pun. We were trying to make things feel elegant and graceful and beautiful and strange.”

And while the clip has certainly raised eyebrows, Richard wasn’t worried about going too far with it after previously featuring Thandie naked in the second episode.

“I think all of us have a modicum of taste that keeps us from taking it too far into the pornographic world and keeps it in the sensual world. I think that’s important.”
