TREKKIES, rejoice. Your streaming schedule is about to get hectic.

Forget about any and all social engagements you might have coming up. Warn your mum that you’ll probably forget to call her on Sunday night. Forget about seeing sunlight for the next few months.

Because you’re about to get completely wrapped up in all 727 episodes of the Star Trek universe with the whole library set to hit Netflix by the end of the year. That’s right, the whole library.

You can get your kicks following the adventures of Kirk and Spock in the original series, Picard in The Next Generation, Archer in Enterprise, Sisko in Deep Space Nine and even (apparently this may be controversial) Janeway in Voyager.

Best of all is the first new Star Trek series since Enterprise finished over a decade ago will debut next January and will be made available on Netflix worldwide (except for the US and Canada) within 24 hours of its US premiere on the American CBS network.

The new series, for which there have been scant details including its cast, will be helmed by showrunners Bryan Fuller and Alex Kurtzman. Fuller is best known for creating series Hannibal and the more eclectic Dead Like Me, Pushing Daisies and Wonderfalls while Kurtzman was an executive producer on Limitless, Sleepy Hollow and Scorpion.

The Star Trek 2017 series will feature all new characters, a new ship and new adventures and won’t be related to the movie series starring Chris Pine and Zachary Quinto.
