“As a trainer it was a massive success, but TV is unpredictable,” the fitness expert who teamed up with 2XU said.
“It’s a shame that more people didn’t tune in but I don’t feel a sense of disappointment. I didn’t go into it wanting to be a TV star, I went into it for the people.”
Babet blames competition from rival programs for the show being dumped from prime time amid plummeting ratings.
“There were a couple of other shows on television (My Kitchen Rules and Married At First Sight) at the time that were really controversial and sometimes it’s fun to watch the controversial stuff.
“Those two shows were coming towards their finales and we were just starting at the time, so perhaps (viewers) were just hooked on other things.”
Babet said she is already working on pitching ideas for future TV shows.
“I’m certainly planning for (The Biggest Loser) not to be the end.”
