TODAY host Karl Stefanovic has made a public plea for his radio shock jock friend Ray Hadley, after he apparently stormed off set during a live cross this morning.
In a cheeky statement to news.com.au, Stefanovic plead for the public to “please help” Hadley’s misfortune in love and live television.
“I’m just trying to find Raymond love. He works hard and deserves it. He has a tough shell but a heart made of marshmallow. Please help.”
It all stems from this morning’s apparent storm-off controversy, kicked off after Stefanovic asked Hadley if he was seeing anyone since a split from his wife saw the radio host caught in a bizarre domestic dispute.

“You know I care for you deeply. Are you looking for love?” Stefanovic asks.
“Listen, Karl, any private conversations we may have, you can’t help yourself. You have to broadcast it to hundreds of thousands of people,” Hadley responded.
He then appeared to put Stefanovic in his place, admonishing him to “stop trying to perpetuate myths that have no basis of truth, before he rips out his microphone and walks out.
“You need to drop off”.
But after AAP and Fairfax Media published stories on the apparent “walk out”, Hadley took to his radio program on Sydney’s 2GB to clear up the confusion.
“I mean really,” he said through an exasperated gasp.
“Karl Stefanovic and I are really good mates, we had a bit of a joke.
“Dear oh dear, people born without a sense of humour ... it was a gee up.
“We’ve had emails from people involved in the Today show segment thanking me for saying, ‘we need a bit of fun from time to time’.
“Can we get Karl online please? So that now he can hang up on me?”
“It is almost too silly for words, and of course it allows people to have another pot shot at me about an AVO taken out and withdrawn the next day because it had no basis.
“I mean fair dinkum. Absolutely.

Hadley and his wife Suzanne separated after 20 years’ marriage in 2011, but the couple's struggles were again highlighted in February this year when Suzanne filed an Apprehended Violence Order against him.
Bizarrely, in less than 24-hours, she had withdrawn the AVO.
At the time, lawyers for the couple issued this statement:
“Ray and Suzanne Hadley after 20 years of marriage are going through a difficult time.
“The media reports have been very distressing for members of Ray’s and Suzanne’s family. Suzanne has been particularly upset as, at the time Suzanne spoke to police, she sought and was given an assurance that the matter would be treated confidentially.
“While the Hadley’s do not know how the information came to the media’s attention, they are very disappointed that their privacy has not been respected.”
