After a long stint on Aussie TV, Scott Cam seems to have finally found his niche with Channel Nine’s The Block.

The celebrity chippy is currently right at home in his hosting gig on The Block: All Stars, and Nine’s gamble to change-up the show's format by bringing back competitors and announcing a second instalment for later in the year seems to be paying off - at least for this Bondi-raised local.

Cam, the 'ordinary' bloke recently moved into his very own not-so-ordinary block of paradise - a $4.6m luxury pad in Sydney’s ritzy suburb of Vaucluse.

Industry sources tell news.com.au the handyman is busy splitting his time between filming All Stars in Bondi, renovating his lavish dream home and trekking down to Melbourne where we can reveal the next instalment is being filmed.

Sources deep inside the Nine bunker have confirmed that filming is already underway in the cultural capital and the show's format has been given yet another facelift.

With an all-new crew of competitive Blockheads, teams will be working against one another to revamp ONE apartment building.

Five couples will face a six-storey apartment block, complete with 50 motel rooms and a rooftop terrace with the challenge of converting it into five luxury self-contained apartments.

It seems the only thing viewers will recognise in the all-new series airing later this year is Scott himself, now somewhat of a Block perennial.

After a shaky start, All Stars seems to be finding its feet with the ratings now that viewers are being treated to the much-anticipated room unveilings. The program pulled in 926,000 viewers last night with their Big Reveal episode, while 1.137 million tuned in on Monday night.
