The Bachelor winner Anna Heinrich: 'Tim Robards and I will be together for a very long time'
BACHELOR winner Anna Heinrich says she and Tim Robards are "100 per cent still together" despite reports things didn't work out after filming wrapped.
ANNA Heinrich has been named the winner of The Bachelor for 2013.
The blonde beauty was handed a promise ring by Tim Robards last night after an emotion-filled finale, with Rochelle missing out on her fairytale ending.
"It feels so good to finally be able to acknowledge what my heart is feeling, and you have my heart," Tim told Anna, amid the idyllic surroundings of Phuket, Thailand.
"I have fallen madly and deeply in love with you. Anna, I love you. It feels so, so, so good to be able to say it."
Reports have been circulating for weeks that the Sydney-based chiropractor is currently single after things fizzled with his chosen bachelorette, but Heinrich tells news.com.au she and Robards are "100 per cent still together."
She took to Instagram after the dating show wrapped last night to share this intimate snap.
For obvious reasons, the pair has had to avoid being seen together in public since filming wrapped 10 weeks ago.
"We've been having secret rendezvous which is like a must, and we've been speaking to each other every single day, texting all the time," the 26-year-old criminal lawyer says.
But runner-up Rochelle claims she too truly believed she was the one for Robards. "All signs were leaning towards yes," she told news.com.au.
The 27-year-old has had a difficult few months not being able to divulge the end result to loved ones, but could finally breathe a sigh of relief last night. She posted this photo on her Instagram page this morning, congratulating "close friend" Anna on finding love.
By the looks of things, some of the rejected bachelorettes - including Tim Mathieson's daughter Sherri - gathered to watch the finale together.
The caption reads: "Last night was tough to watch I won't lie. However I was kissed and cuddled galore in a room with beautiful best mates; thankyou my friends for being so loving and generous towards me. I've had so many people wishing me well today and last night I really must thankyou all. Tim and Anna so clearly have a special bond and an intense love for one another. Time has passed and wounds have healed, I'm truly at peace with the outcome. Anna has given me the greatest warmth and acceptance during this time, we are going to stay close friends! Anna I congratulate you on finding love. Tims a real catch and so clearly head over heels for you. Much love, respect and happiness for your future together guys."
The Perth-born model admitted that by the time the final rose ceremony came around she was "emotionally distraught" and was "definitely not herself."
"I was really emotionally distraught by this point. When I want to be with someone I pour my whole heart and soul into it.
"I was definitely not myself, I was very on edge and afraid and I knew what was looming.
"Maybe I was blinded by love in a way because I wanted it to happen so badly."
Viewers were left divided as to who would win after Robards ditched Ali last week, and even Anna admitted she wasn't confident she'd stolen his heart until right at the death.
"I hoped that what we had was better than what Rochelle and he had."
The finale scored an impressive 1.18 million viewers last night, making it the most-watched show of the evening. This is a big win for Channel 10 after the ratings struggled earlier in the season but have been steadily building over the final four episodes.
With Anna and Tim's relationship finally out in the open, all eyes will surely be on Australia's hottest new couple to see if they can go the distance.
