A Netflix star has confirmed he has quit one of the streaming giant’s biggest shows over a feud with his co-star.

Bobby Berk got candid about feuding with his Queer Eye co-star Tan France in a new interview, and confessed France was the reason he exited the show.

The reality star addressed the feud speculation during an interview with Vanity Fair published on Thursday, just a few weeks after he announced season eight of the show would be his last.

“Tan and I had a moment,” he explained. “There was a situation, and that’s between Tan and I, and it has nothing to do with the show.”

Berk added: “It was something personal that had been brewing — and nothing romantic, just to clarify that.”

Rumours that the fashion consultant was responsible for Berk’s departure circulated last fall when the interior designer unfollowed his pal on Instagram.

“Should I have unfollowed Tan? No,” Berk said. “Maybe I should have just muted him. But that day, I was angry, and that’s the end of it. We became like siblings — and siblings are always going to fight.”

While Berk didn’t elaborate on their feud, he said he’s open to reconciling with France, 40, as the two most recently “embraced each other” at the 2024 Creative Arts Emmys a few weeks ago.

“I will always have a very special place in my heart for him and Rob (France’s husband) and the kids,” he added.

“I can foresee in six months or a year, Tan and I at each other’s house being good. The Emmys was already the first bandage on that wound.”

The cast of Queer Eye will be returning later this year as a foursome: Karamo Brown, Tan France, Antoni Porowski and Jonathan Van Ness.

Berk denied his rift with France was the reason he decided to leave the show after six years. “For the most part,” he said.

Instead, he insisted he and the rest of the Fab Five Crew — France, Jonathan Van Ness, Antoni Porowski and Karamo Brown — believed it was time to move on when their seven-cycle contract ended in September 2022.

“We thought we were done. Mentally and emotionally, I thought we all moved on. I know I did, and I started planning other things,” Berk explained.

However, with the writers and actors strikes playing out last year, Netflix pushed out a contract for four more cycles.

While Berk ultimately passed on the opportunity, the rest of the Fab Five decided to commit to the additional seasons at the last minute.
