Kaley Cuoco reveals struggles filming ‘true sex scene’ in The Flight Attendant

Big Bang Theory star Kaley Cuoco has admitted to struggling with filming a sex scene in her edgy new TV series thriller.

Kaley Cuoco revealed that she had to be coached by her co-star to get her through her “first true sex scene” in her new series, The Flight Attendant.

The 34-year-old actress, who plays Cassie Bowden in the brand new HBO series, with the first three episodes now streaming on Binge, had to take down a few notes from her on-screen lover Michiel Huisman to make it look more believable.

Cuoco is best known for her role as Penny on the popular CBS sitcom The Big Bang Theory – which often only aired the aftermath of her romps.

So the star certainly had to turn the temperature up a notch while filming a sex scene in a plane toilet with Huisman, who plays her love interest Alex Sokolov.

However, Cuoco just couldn’t seem to get in the mood and needed a bit of a nudge on what to do considering it was her first time shooting something so intimate.

She told USA Today: “Network 8 o’clock TV is a little different than (streaming) all hours of the night.

“I had scenes like that on Big Bang, but this was like a true sex scene.

“I told Michiel, ‘I’ve never done this before. Have you done it before?’ He goes, ‘Yeah, like 30, 40 times. And I was like, ‘What?’”

As things progressed, Cuoco turned to Huisman for advice to help her make it look more believable as she was still struggling.

She added: “So when they called action, I still wasn’t really giving my all.

“Michiel finally goes, ‘It looks like you’re hovering over a public toilet. What are you doing?’

“I’m like, ‘I don’t know what I’m doing.’ So he had to awkwardly teach me how to have fake sex.”

It comes after Cuoco claimed her The Big Bang Theory bosses added more sex scenes with her ex Johnny Galecki after they split “just to f**k with us”.

The former couple originally dated for two years during their early days on the hugely popular CBS sitcom.

But once they decided to end the relationship in 2009, the actors still had to continue their on-set romance between Penny and Leonard.

Cuoco played Penny while Galecki played Leonard.

In rare comments about her relationship with her co-star, Cuoco explained during a chat on Dax Shepard’s Armchair Expert podcast: “It was a little sensitive for a minute. But I just remember Chuck Lorre – the genius behind our show – I remember those weeks where our characters would be jumping in bed with each other every other second.

“Johnny and I talk about it and I think (Chuck) did that on purpose just to f**k with us.

“If I was with him, I would ask him because it came out of nowhere. All of a sudden these characters were all up on each other.”
