Hugely-anticipated Friends reunion to air May 27
The highly-anticipated Friends reunion will air in a matter of days, with an official teaser dropping this morning.
The one we’ve been waiting for.
Fans are abuzz as the Friends: The Reunion teaser trailer dropped this morning, with HBO Max announcing ‘The One Where They Get Back Together’ will hit streaming on May 27.
It’s much sooner than we thought, with production halted several times due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The highly-anticipated special will see original cast members Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, David Schwimmer, Matthew Perry and Matt LeBlanc reunite onscreen for the first time since the Friends finale aired in 2004.
The 40-second teaser shows the iconic group from behind walking to a slow-rendition of the theme song at the original Burbank Warner Bros. Studio lot soundstage, Stage 24.

The special will offer “a real-life unscripted celebration of the beloved show”, which first aired in 1994 and became a pop culture powerhouse still adored by fans today.
But there is a huge question mark over whether or not the show will air in Australia. news.com.au understands no Australian streaming platform has the rights to screen the special yet in what would no doubt be a huge disappointment to local fans.
Aussie streaming service Binge, which launched in May last year, has the original 10 seasons, as well as Netflix.

A host of special guests are also set to join the iconic cast for the special, including David Beckham, Justin Bieber, BTS, James Corden, Cindy Crawford, Cara Delevingne, Lady Gaga, Elliott Gould, Kit Harington, Larry Hankin, Mindy Kaling, Thomas Lennon, Christina Pickles, Tom Selleck, James Michael Tyler, Maggie Wheeler, Reese Witherspoon and Malala Yousafzai.
It’s directed by Ben Winston and produced by Friends executive producers Kevin Bright, Marta Kauffman and David Crane.

“Nothing is scripted, and we are not in character,” Schwimmer said on The Graham Norton Show last month.
“We are all ourselves, although there is one section of it that I don’t want to give away, but we all read something.”
