House Of The Dragon has shocked viewers once again with yet another explicit sex scene, which fans have described as “next level disgusting”.

Just weeks after viewers were confronted with scenes of one character performing oral sex on another, the HBO series – which airs locally on BINGE – has done it again with a horrifying incest scene between Matt Smith’s character Daemon Targaryen and his mother, Alyssa Targaryen, played by Emeline Lambert.

In the past few episodes, Daemon has been holed up in Harrenhal castle experiencing a series of hallucinations.

However, in this week’s offering, the dragonrider’s imagination takes a disturbing turn when he has a sensual dream about his own mother.

The graphic scene begins with his mum standing naked in front of him before she leans in to kiss his forehead while praising him for his strength.

“You were always the strong one. The finest swordsman. The fiercest dragonrider. Your brother had love in his heart, but he lacked your constitution,” she says as he runs his hands up and down her naked body.

“Viserys was unsuited for the crown,” she adds, referring to his brother King Viserys (Paddy Considine), who died in Season 1.

“But you Daemon, you were made to wear it. If only you’d been born first. My favourite son.”

Fans have described the explicit scenes as ‘next level disgusting’.

Mother and son then go on to perform explicit acts on each other. And although it was later revealed in the episode that Alys Rivers (Gayle Rankin) had planted visions in Daemon’s head in an attempt to rattle him, viewers remained disgusted and voiced their protest on social media.

“Daemon having sex with his mother is next level disgusting,” tweeted one, while another commented: “I know Targaryens have weird customs... but this is absolutely gross. Whose idea was this?”

“House of the dragon incest level has crossed every limit today,” another continued, with one viewer adding: “The incest on house of the dragon is getting outta hand.”

Some have even labelled the scene “highly unnecessary”.

“I am broadly enjoying House of the Dragon, but the monotonous Daemon scenes with their sinfully slow pacing are becoming very tiresome now,” one shared. “It’s like they didn’t really know what to do with him this season.”

Daemon has been having weird dreams all season.

One of his dreams sees the brief return of Aussie actress Milly Alcock, who played a young Rhaenyra Targaryen in Season 1.

In the haunting scene that aired weeks ago, Rhaenyra could be seen inside Harrenhal castle, where she is sewing the head of murdered heir Jaehaerys back onto his body – a boy who Daemon had accidentally ordered to be killed.

Alcock only has two lines in the dream sequence, but nonetheless it leaves a lasting impact.

“Always coming and going aren’t you?” she tells Daemon. “And I have to clean up afterwards.”
