Fans are finally given a taste of Asher Keddie’s hot new Aussie drama where she plays a magazine editor trying to make it in a digital world.
Fans got a first look at Asher Keddie’s hotly anticipated new comedy-drama Strife with the official trailer released today.
The BINGE original series premieres on the platform on December 6 and features an impressive cast such as Keddie, Matt Day, Jonathan LaPaglia, Tina Bursill, Emma Lung, just to name a few.
The trailer welcomes us into the world of former magazine editor named Evelyn Jones (played by Keddie) as she makes the leap from blogger to leading force in women’s digital media with her website Eve.
Evelyn is perfectly imperfect as she navigates the ever-changing world of publishing, the highs and lows of motherhood, and the end of her marriage to Jon, played by Day.
As per the trailer, Strife will also explore female friendships and workplace dynamics.
The series is inspired by media mogul and Mamamia founder Mia Freedman’s memoir, Work, Strife, Balance, and is written and adapted for screen by Australian screenwriter Sarah Scheller.
Stream Life, Strife, Balance from December 6 on BINGE. New BINGE customers get a 14-day free trial. Sign up at binge.com.au

In a recent interview withMarie Claire, Keddie said she was drawn to the show because it was relatable to women everywhere.

“The show is about ambition,” she told the publication last month. “I’m not playing Mia, but a woman we’ve created. I’m hoping it’s relatable to women in their forties who find themselves feeling as if they want to do more and want to offer more.”
“I very consciously made sure we exposed her [Evelyn’s] private victories and failures as much as we do the public ones. I wanted the audience to go on a journey with me, not watch me go through it.”
Strife premieres on BINGE on December 6 and will also be available on Foxtel
