This episode contains spoilers from FBoy Island Australia episodes 9 and 10.

The FBoy Island Australia finale is upon us, and viewers are in for a big twist.

All season, leading ladies Molly O’Halloran, 26, Sophie Blackley, 26, and Ziara Rae, 21, were in the dating driver’s seat for the BINGE series, as they tried to navigate a dating pool of 24 men. Each woman had to determine who are the Nice Guys they can fall for, and who are the FBoys who will likely break their hearts.

The prize? Find a Nice Guy, and you’ll both split $50,000. End up with an FBoy, and he could either choose to split the cash or keep it for himself.

The women have finally made their decisions, but not before an unexpected cameo rocked the finale. Here’s how the final double episode unfolded - with one FBoy’s lie exposed....

Ghost of eliminations past

After graduating from “Limbro” – host Abbie Chatfield’s FBoy Deprogramming School – the FBoys are invited back to the villa for a “Mansplaining” session.

Behind-the-scenes on FBoy Island

It remains to be seen if they are, in fact, reformed. But with $50,000 on the line for each remaining couple, it’s time for the bros to disclose.

So the Ghosts of Ghosts of Eliminations Past are asked to share the tea on the last men standing: Molly’s Top 2 Nick and Vernon; Sophie’s Top 2 Justin and Joshy; and Ziara’s Top 2 Cory and Izaya.

Mitch is among the first to raise his hand and confront Vernon about his ex, who he apparently dumped to be on the show. You may recall Mitch brought this up earlier in the season, after a woman he was chatting to on Instagram said Vernon was her boyfriend until he applied to go on the show.

Vernon whips out the same spiel he did then: he was single when applying for the dating show and they split months beforehand, but remained in touch.

He says they were friendly but weren’t sleeping together. After being queried by the group, Vernon casually reveals he and his ex had slept together a couple of times since breaking up. As you do.

Molly’s not impressed and asks for the ex’s name: Brogan. Unique, just like Vernon. We suspect a little social media stalking is about to take place …

No surprises then that a clap-o-metre from the group falls in Nick’s favour.

Next in need of a mansplanation are Izaya’s partying comments, as filmed from behind a pot plant and recounted by eliminated contestant Clay.

In previously unseen footage, Clay says they planned to go out clubbing together and pick up chicks after the show.

Izaya later explains he just wanted to be Clay’s wingman and cheer him up after he was outed as an FBoy at the time. Still, Ziara wonders if Izaya is ready to settle down at 21.

But age ain’t nothing but a number, right? As Cory will attest. He is once again called out for saying he was 35, then changing it to 32.

“It’s not like your d**k’s not going to work if you’re 35 versus when you’re 30,” says 22-year-old content creator Lakshya. Spoken like a true FBoy.

The church of eliminated men then collectively say “amen” if they recall Cory saying he was 35 years old.

And the congregation led by Sean also call out Cory for not warning the women against Caleb’s derogatory comments about Molly on the very first night.

Ziara is infuriated at Cory for not telling her and Nick is equally mad at Caleb for making the comment.

But Molly? She takes it all in her stride, unfazed.

“What the f**k does Caleb know about my vagina? For his information, it’s a magnificent vagina.”

Single dates and sleepovers

The women go on their last single dates with their Top 2 – an opportunity to grill the guys and bring up their reservations and hesitations one last time.

Molly wants answers from Vernon re: Brogan. But first, a parasailing session.

She says Vernon gives her the excitement she craves, but he is a risk – no doubt just like their parasailing adventure. She’s torn between choosing Nick, who is safe and predictable, and Vernon, who is a larrikin that sends her pulse racing.

Vernon reassures her that Brogan is out of the picture but in a confessional, he says: “Vernon being Vernon, that’s how I’ve always done it. You smile and wave and you get out of everything. You just gotta bulls**t your way through it. As long as you answer a question the way they want you to, doesn’t need to be true or not.”

OK Molly, time to step away from someone who refers to themselves in third person.

Elsewhere, Sophie and Justin go wakeboarding. She takes that one-on-one time to confront him about his comments that were brought up at the mansplaining session.

Earlier in the series, he told the guys he didn’t fancy any of Molly, Ziara or Sophie. He denied it then, and he denied it at the mansplaining session. Sophie is convinced he said it and wants him to own up. He doesn’t and she wonders if what she likes about him outweighs the lack of trust.

Ziara takes Cory horseback riding at the beach before they have a deep and meaningful on the sand. It’s not quicksand though, so the conversation is very surface.

He kinda admits he told the guys different ages because he didn’t want people to know information about him. Perhaps refrain from signing on to a reality show then?

At the overnight dates, Vernon once again lovebombs Molly, telling her she is the “love of his life” and pinky promises her he’s not going to break her heart.

They kiss passionately on the couch, but Molly says she needs more than just being “c**kstruck”.

As for her overnighter with Nick, aka “Cuddle Bear”, aka Big D**k Nick, their night ends with a door closed to the cameras.

“So long Cuddle Bear and hello Big D**k Nick,” Molly says from inside her bedroom as the door shuts.

So did Sophie follow suit and break her two-year dry spell on her overnight dates with either Justin or Joshy? That’s a hard no. But Justin did have “very kissable lips”, she shares.

Case of the ex

It’s elimination time and the women are feeling confident about the choices they’re about to make. But first, their Top 2 men have one more chance to plead their case.

It’s a tough choice for Sophie nonetheless, as she has a Nice Guy and an FBoy in her final two. Pick the FBoy and he could run off with the $50,000 cash prize.

Justin – who identifies as a Nice Guy – tells Sophie he’s fallen for her and what they have is “extremely special”.

Joshy – a self-proclaimed FBoy – says Sophie has “changed” him.

Ultimately, she says she needs someone who can own up to their past mistakes and Joshy has proven that to her, so it’s bye-bye Justin.

Joshy has the power to run off with the money and for a moment, it appears he will.

“It’s life-changing. It would obviously help me and my family a lot. I’m gonna choose to take the money …. and split it with you,” he tells a relieved Sophie.

Ziara is torn between her head and heart when it comes to Cory and Izaya. They are both Nice Guys, so she is guaranteed $25,000, but the decision is none the easier.

But when Izaya tells her he loves her, she jumps out of her seat and kisses him. Safe to say it’s game over for Cory, who manages to stay positive.

“I’m hurt she went to the unknown for something that’s more secure, but I understand. If there relationship falls, she knows who to call,” he says in his exit interview.

Last but not least, we have Molly and her men: Nice Guy Nick and FBoy Vernon.

The latter takes a dig at Nick, telling Molly: “If you pick me, I definitely won’t be boring.”

But she only has one question: “Vernon, do you want to be with me?”

He insists he does but Molly calls BS.

“I’m about to teach this FBoy a lesson in a very big way,” she tells the cameras.

Flashback scenes play on screen of Molly and Vernon’s ex, Brogan, meeting up to debrief earlier that day.

We learn Molly asked producers for a laptop to stalk Vernon’s social media again so she could DM Brogan.

“Like any woman with social media and a name, I tracked down Vernon’s ex Brogan to learnt the truth,” she says in the finale.

Brogan lets Molly scroll through her phone to read Vernon’s messages.

“I have a text message on my phone saying, ‘I’m going there to lie and bulls**t for three weeks and win cash, and then he said when he’s finished here, he will come out and get me back,” Brogan shares. Vernon’s been sprung.

Back to elimination: Molly invites Brogan inside the villa and, as expected, there is no welcome party from Vernon.

Nick wins, he and Molly split the $50l, Vernon’s out and Abbie says her famous catchphrase one last time: “FBoy, eff off.”
