Binge and Kayo events on today at SXSW Sydney

SXSW Festival continues today, with a chance to hear from the Aussie Emmy-winner behind some of the biggest TV shows of recent years.

The inaugural Sydney SXSW Festival continues today, with streamers Binge and Kayo taking centre stage for several fascinating sessions on the schedule – including a conversation with the Aussie Emmy-winner behind some of the biggest TV shows of recent years.

It comes after Nicole Kidman and her producing partner Per Saari packed out the ICC yesterday, speaking to a thousands-strong crowd about what it takes to get projects off the ground with their production company, Blossom Films.

And they dropped some big news, too: While talking about their close association with Australian author Lianne Moriarty, the duo revealed they’ll start filming another adaptation of a Moriarty work next month.

The Last Anniversary will be made for Binge and Foxtel, with Saari revealing: “Nobody knows about this one yet. I mean, officially.”

“John Polson will direct it, and: Australian accents! [An] Australian project, with Australian accents for the world,” Kidman announced at the conference.
