Australian comedy group Aunty Donna reveals Netflix series Big Ol’ House of Fun
An Australian comedy group has hit the big time with their own Netflix series, which boasts a high-profile American actor as producer.
Australian comedy group Aunty Donna is coming to a TV near you – or phone, laptop, iPad or whatever your choice of streaming device is, we’re not judging.
The surrealist sketch group will debut a six-part new series, Aunty Donna’s Big Ol’ House of Fun, on Netflix from November 11.
The series was produced by Ed Helms, who was even convinced to guest star as part of the shenanigans. Netflix promises there will be “satire, parody, clever wordplay, breakout musical numbers and much more”.

Aunty Donna is led by Mark Bonnano, Broden Kelly and Zachary Ruane while behind the scenes the group consists of Max Miller, Tom Armstrong and Sam Lingham. The group was formed after meeting at uni in Victoria.
Aunty Donna travelled all over the world to various comedy festivals in the past near-decade while their YouTube channel boasts 316,000 subscribers. They also have a popular podcast.
The group has been nominated for an ARIA while a webseries, Glennridge Secondary College, was nominated for an AACTA Award.
Aunty Donna’s Big Ol’ House of Fun is the latest Netflix Australian original production following Tideland s, Lunatics, Izzy Bee’s Koala World and two Hannah Gadsby specials Nanette and Douglas. Another – drama Clickbait – was in production in Melbourne when filming was disrupted by pandemic shutdowns.
