Russell Brand derails TV segment with Fifi Box by straddling and kissing her in resurfaced interview
More footage of Russell Brand behaving inappropriately during interviews has emerged – and this time Fifi Box was on the receiving end.
More damning footage of Russell Brand behaving inappropriately during media interviews has emerged, this time it was beloved Aussie radio personality Fifi Box on the receiving end.
In the wake of shock rape and sexual assault claims heralded at the British comedian, a clip from a past segment on Sunrise shows Brand straddling then kissing Box on the cheek as she attempted to interview him for his 2010 film Get Him to the Greek.
Box – who was the breakfast show’s entertainment reporter at the time – could be seen trying to engage Brand in conversation before he walks over to her and sits on her lap to caress her face.
“Oh, my god. He’s kissing me,” she could be heard saying on camera.
The media personality was clearly uncomfortable in the moment as she tried to wedge her arms between herself and the comedian, who from the get-go made fun of her unique name.
“Fifi Box! Then what is your porn name?” he asked, among one of the many sexual references he made.
“There’s no doubt about it, Fifi, you are a woman,” he said elsewhere in the interview. “Everything about you – your appearance, your name, suggests femininity.
“A more feminine name than Fifi Box, I struggle to think of. Other than being called Jezebel Vagina.”
Despite appearing flustered, Box again tried to get him to focus on the film, which also starred Jonah Hill and Aussie actress Rose Byrne.
“Thank you for that, Russell. I appreciate that. I want to talk about the movie again because you’ve got anything about genitalia and that’s not a good thing,” she said.
But that didn’t stop Brand – who was engaged to singer Katy Perry at the time – as he continued to steer off-topic.
“I’m gonna stop you. In my case, it is a good thing,” he said, pointing to his genitalia, which he referred to as “the ratbags”.
“God bless them. Little passageway to pleasure I’m sure,” he added.
As she giggled uncomfortably, Brand then made fun of her laugh.
“When you laugh like that, it makes me know what you’d sound like when you [orgasm]. And I like it,” he said, knowing full well the segment was for morning television.
“Hey, viewers! That’s what Fifi sounds like when she [orgasms]. Enjoy your breakfast you perverts.”
Earlier this week, as news of the allegations against Brand made headlines, a “creppy” interview with Aussie journalist Liz Hayes also resurfaced.
In that clip filmed in 2012, he could be seen planting a kiss on Hayes’ lips while trying to unclip her bra as she interviewed him for 60 Minutes.
Brand has been accused of rape, sexual assault and emotional abuse by atleast four women –allegations he denies.
“These allegations pertain to the time when I was working in the mainstream, when I was in the newspapers all the time, when I was in the movies. And as I’ve written about extensively in my books, I was very, very promiscuous,” he said in a YouTube video shared over the weekend.
“Now, during that time of promiscuity, the relationships I had were absolutely always consensual.”
