TV network launching brand new dating show which is even raunchier than Naked Attraction
The TV network responsible for inflicting Naked Attraction upon the world is launching a new dating show – and somehow, it’s even raunchier.
Showing singletons getting hitched to a stranger or stripping naked within minutes of meeting clearly isn’t extreme enough for British TV network Channel 4.
The broadcaster, which has Naked Attraction and hit dating show Married At First Sight UK on its sister channel E4, is lining up a new show where couples will be encouraged to have sex on their first date.
But not at some hotel hook-up — instead they’ll be provided with Bluetooth sex toys so they can get intimate with each other online, and later meet in person if they strike up a connection.
A TV insider said: “Channel 4 has aired some bizarre dating shows, but this will be the most outrageous.
“They made a pilot towards the end of last year and the next phase is screen-testing it to audiences.
“If it’s green lit, it is bound to cause controversy but the series could also attract some big ratings.”
Under the working title Sex First, the show relies on the theory that perfect matches must have sexual chemistry first and foremost.
Single people will be introduced to each other online as avatars before ramping up their chemistry by having online sex, thanks to the Bluetooth-synched sex toys.
If the pairs like what they experience and enjoy their first sexual encounter together, they can then meet to see if the bond is just as compatible in real life and decide whether to take it further still and start dating.
The series, which is tipped to appear later this year, proves Channel 4 is still investing in dating shows, despite many broadcasters shelving series’ in the past few months.
For the sake of Sex First, hopefully its longevity will be on par with the battery life in its sex toys.
