The Masked Singer’s bluebottle revealed to be TV judge on rival network

Turns out, a major Nine Network star has been moonlighting on Ten’s The Masked Singer. WARNING: Spoilers.

Another celebrity’s identity was revealed during Monday’s episode of The Masked Singer – and this time, it was a TV judge from a rival network.

It was perhaps a surprising reveal, seeing Blaze moonlighting on Ten, given that she’s one of the best-known stars on the rival Nine network. In fact, her show airs in the same timeslot as The Masked Singer.

Earlier, the judges had guessed bluebottle might be Cyndi Lauper, Gladys Knight, Emma Bunton or Florence and the Machine singer Florence Welch. Chrissie Swan was kicking herself, having guessed the bluebottle was Blaze back in week one but since changed her guess several times.

We’ve also taken some educated guesses about the identity of the remainder of the contestants on this season – like Swan, we picked Blaze from her first performance, and our other picks include an internationally beloved Aussie pop icon, a US TV starlet and a top-selling Australian singer-songwriter.

This was the fourth celebrity to be revealed on The Masked Singer this season, with 90s Beverly Hills, 90210 heart throb Brian Austin Green unmasked in week one, and Ten’s veteran newsreader Sandra Sully revealed in week two.

Last week came the season’s most moving reveal so far – Summer Warne, daughter of late cricketing legend Shane Warne, who explained that she’d done the show in tribute to her dad, who always encouraged her to pursue her passion for singing.

Meanwhile, news.com.au went behind the scenes of The Masked Singer during filming in Sydney recently – all the way to Mel B’s dressing room, in fact.

We sat down with the Spice Girl to get the goss on her upcoming wedding, her recent move back to her hometown in Northern England, and what she and the other Spice Girls have planned for their next comeback – yes, she insists, all five of them.

The Masked Singer continues 7:30pm next Monday on Ten.
