The Masked Singer Australia: Second celebrity revealed

An Aussie sportsman became the second celebrity to have his identity revealed on Channel 10’s hit show, The Masked Singer.

Masked Singer: Identity of the Parrot revealed (Ten)

The second celebrity on The Masked Singer has been revealed.

Former cricketer Brett Lee was unmasked as the Parrot on the hit Channel 10 show.

Lee sang What’s My Scene by the Hoodoo Gurus and gave a couple of clues that all but gave away his identity.

“I live my life at high speed,” he hinted. “It can be dangerous, very dangerous, and that’s the way I like it. What I do, others find terrifying.

“In my career I have flown all over the world following the sun. I didn’t always display model behaviour but what I do takes a lot of physical courage.”

At first Lindsay Lohan was convinced the Parrot was Kelly Slater, whereas Hughesy guessed it was Shane Warne.

The first half of the 12 Masked Singers performed on Monday night’s show with Gretel Killeen revealed as the Octopus.

The remaining six contestants performed on Tuesday night’s episode and, after being deemed the weakest performer, Brett Lee was unmasked.

Just like Monday night, viewers played along at home on social media and put forward their best guesses as to who the Masked Singers are.

DRAGON

Singing Geronimo by Sheppard, the 172cm tall dragon hinted that he has petrol in his veins. And when asked how old he was, he replied, “I guess you could say I’ve done a few more laps than the average Aussie dragon”.

Most people are convinced it’s Grant Denyer, even though he’s almost 10cm shorter than the dragon.

MONSTER

The cute-as-a-button monster sang Think by Aretha Franklin and her voice impressed the judges with Lohan commenting, “That voice had soul, deep soul”.

Some of the clues indicated that the Monster loves horses and has to deal with “some heavy material” in her work.

Most people on Twitter are convinced that it’s The Project presenter Gorgi Coghlan.

SPIDER

This Spider can seriously sing! The female singer’s chilling rendition of Britney Spears’ Toxic gave Jackie O goosebumps.

Some of the Spider’s clues included: “I love to write which is easy when you can hold eight pens at once. I’m proud to say my words have gone all over the world. There is a lot of love at home and I learnt everything I know from daddy long legs.”

Jackie O guessed Amy Sheppard, Hughesy thinks it’s Sia, Dannii locked in Willow Smith and Lindsay guessed La Toya Jackson.

RHINO

After the “massive” Rhino sang Shotgun by George Ezra, the judges were convinced the male performer used to be an athlete.

“In my career I hopped from one top job to another,” the Rhino hinted. “But I’ve settled down a lot from my rock star days.”

He also hinted, “My greatest success was the year that Sydney held the Olympic Games”.

Jackie O called it early and picked Wendell Sailor who was part of the team that won the Rugby League World Cup in 2000.

LION

Singing High Hopes by Panic! At The Disco, the Lion gave clues that indicated they might have appeared on a reality TV show in the past.

“You have to fight hard to be top on this big island,” the Lion hinted. “As a young lion, I entered a competition that would change everything. This brought me closer to my idols.”

When quizzed by the judges if they had won a TV competition, the Lion answered, “I’m a very competitive person and television has been a very important part of my career”.

Hughesy thought it was possible the Lion is former PM Julia Gillard and Jackie O guessed Vanessa Amorosi.

Most people on Twitter seem to think it’s Kate Ceberano.
