The Block’s Suzi Taylor collapsed due to ‘non-stop partying’

NINE has reportedly scaled back controversial Block contestant Suzi Taylor’s promotional commitments after the former Penthouse model refused to apologise for her ­partying ways.

Explicit photos of Block star Suzi Taylor were obtained exclusively by news.com.au last week, revealing the reality TV contestant in a series of lewd poses while partying on a boat after Crown Oaks day in Melbourne.

Four days after the topless photos were taken by a passer-by who was on another boat at the Docklands, the 44-year-old was found unconscious on the set of The Block and had to be taken to hospital. She was later found to be suffering a severe anxiety attack.

According to insiders, Suzi’s onset collapse was the result of “non-stop partying” and not simply due to exhaustion, as producers told news.com.au at the time.

“They’ve said she collapsed from ‘exhaustion’, but the exhaustion was also the result of non-stop partying throughout the Spring Racing Carnival,” a source told Woman’s Day.

Channel 9 has since reportedly scaled back the controversial contestant’s promotional commitments after she refused to apologise for her ­partying ways.

“She will not be doing any press until after the auction,” a Nine spokeswoman confirmed.

The single mother-of-three told The Courier-Mail that she was just a Gold Coast girl looking to have some fun. “I’m not out to hurt anyone, I’m just out to have a good time and enjoy life.

“I’ve been a party girl since I can remember. When you work in this industry you ­become friends with other ­people in the industry and you get invited to parties. I don’t have any regrets.”

Nine told news.com.au on Friday that Taylor was currently at home with her family. “She is resting after an exhausting few weeks, culminating with the very busy open for inspections last weekend,” a spokesman said.

Speaking about the onset incident that ended with her in hospital last week, Taylor said it was “pure exhaustion”.

The one-time former Penthouse model added: “You could say it has been an eventful year. When you’re going through a divorce and filming a renovations show, it is a lot on your plate.”

Taylor admitted after the photos emerged that she was embarrassed by the attention and blamed a close friend for betraying her trust by leaking the topless pics.

“They’re not the most flattering photos of me, I’ve got plenty more beautiful photos,” she told the Gold Coast Bulletin from her home on Saturday.

“I was a bit under the weather and I’m a bit of an exhibitionist. I have been a Penthouse pet before so I like having fun but I would never do that in a public area.

“I didn’t realise they would surface as I was close friends with the person who took them and leaked them,” she added.

Taylor further defended her actions by saying it was a “private party” and she’s since had words with the person who took the photos.

“It’s a bikini. I grew up topless on the beach on the Gold Coast but that was a closed private party on a boat.

“I’ve definitely had words with that person. I’ve got to choose my friends a bit better. It’s a lesson for me in life to choose my friends wisely.”

The real estate agent from the Gold Coast is competing on Nine’s current season of The Block with her friend Yvonne Cosier, 39. She said the network had been very supportive.

“I am in capable hands. Channel 9 are wonderful people,” she said. “They are my family in ­Melbourne. That’s what family do, they look out for you.”

Auctions for The Block will take place on Saturday, November 21, with the auction finals airing shortly afterwards on Nine. A specific airdate is yet to be announced.
