The Bachelor’s Lisa reveals the conversation she had with Matty J before she was eliminated
LISA’S elimination from The Bachelor didn’t come as a surprise — with the blonde admitting she told Matty J to send her home.
LISA Carlton’s elimination from The Bachelor on Thursday night didn’t come as a surprise with the blonde admitting she told Matty J to send her home.
“I mean, look, I actually had a conversation with Matty prior to the rose ceremony and it was pretty much me saying, ‘I want to be here, I want to get to know you but there’s been so much time that’s passed since my first single date until now’,” she told news.com.au. “I said, ‘There’s not much time left — I don’t know you and the ball’s in your court but you haven’t done anything with it and I’m waiting’.”
She added: “How I worded it was if you don’t see this going anywhere then it’s probably best that I don’t get a rose tonight.”
While Lisa said she initially felt a spark with the marketing manager during their one and only date in the second week, that lack of attention that followed stopped her feelings from developing.
“Over time that spark faded and faded and faded until there was nothing there,” she said.
At the cocktail party on Thursday night, fellow contestant Elora caused trouble when she attempted to unexpectedly pash Matty J. Her attempt was brutally rejected. Lisa said none of the girls knew Elora had planned on making the move.
“We didn’t see it either because she tried to do it behind a door or a curtain,” she said. “So it wasn’t until she came back from the chat and she looked upset and awkward and we were like, ‘What’s wrong?’ And it took her ages to open up and no one really felt sorry for her — it’s just, we felt embarrassed for her and she felt embarrassed.”
Lisa said she thinks the attempted kiss will cause trouble in episodes to air next week.
“It wasn’t that big of a deal (that night) in the house — unless I was on the toilet or something. (But) I think the next day it became a thing.”
In a separate interview with Now To Love, Lisa admitted she knows who Matty ended up choosing at the end of the series because it’s a girl who she was particularly close to.
When quizzed by news.com.au about who she had the best relationship with in the mansion, Lisa revealed she was closest to Elise.
“By the end Elise and me were really close but we were mates from day one,” she said.
The Bachelor continues Wednesday night at 7.30pm on Ten.
