WARNING: Spoilers

A major plot twist for this year’s season of The Bachelor has surfaced after a TV guide description for the second episode was published online.

This year will be the first to introduce intruders early on in the season, with eight girls crashing the mansion on The Bachelor’s second night.
According to a TV guide description for Thursday’s episode, the unexpected intruders will leave the 20 contestants who arrived on the first night unhappy, with some “not willing to take the news lying down”.

Traditionally, intruders — normally no more than three or four contestants — are brought onto the show in the final weeks of The Bachelor.

In the past, their late entry has meant they failed to make an impact on the show’s Bachelor, with the exception of intruder Lana Jeavons-Fellows who made it to the top two of Sam Woods’ season before losing out to Snezana Markoski.

It’s not the first time a TV guide has accidentally spoiled a reality TV show. In February, major plot lines for Married At First Sight were circulated online after being spotted on Foxtel’s episode guide.

The TV guide revealed Cyrell Paule and Martha Kalifatidis would come to physical blows, as well as spoiling that Jessika Power would develop a relationship with intruder Dan Webb.

This year’s Bachelor Matt Agnew has confirmed he hasn’t pulled a Honey Badger and is happily in a relationship with one of the show’s contestants.

“Yes, I have. I’m delighted with how the process worked out for me, and I’m very, very happy,” he told The Courier Mail over the weekend.

“I went into it (the show) pretty confident in myself and that I would make the right decision for me.”

But it still looks like there is plenty of drama still in store this season.

A preview released last week shows Matt being forced to boot one of the contestants from the mansion after she called him a “dog c**t” and “disrespectful pig”.

The drama intensifies, with one unidentified contestant being heard saying: “If I accidentally punch him in the face … it’s an accident.”

Matt complains to producers it’s all getting to him and “it’s all starting to sound like bulls**t to me” before sending one contestant home.

The Bachelor premieres Wednesday 7.30pm on Network 10
