The Bachelor: Georgia Love slams ‘COVID idiot’ contestants

Former Bachelorette Georgia Love has publicly called out one catty move among the contestants vying for Locky’s affections this season.

Former Bachelorette Georgia Love has made it clear that she is no fan of some of this year’s Bachelor girls.

The 2016 Bachelorette star took a swipe at the group vying for Bach Locky Gilbert’s heart, after Wednesday night’s episode showed contestants judging Juliette’s decision to give her spot on the group date to Areeba when she wasn’t feeling well.

Some of her fellow contestants claimed that were they in Juliette’s position, they still would have gone on the date regardless of feeling sick.

“The girls saying you have to go on group dates even if you’re sick are 100% the idiots who went to work after getting a covid test,” she tweeted.

But that wasn’t the only thing Love had an issue with. After seeing how upset the contestants were when another woman had a chance to speak to Locky, she was left dumbfounded at their reactions.

“It’s quite amazing the casting team managed to find so many girls who’ve seemingly never seen nor heard of the concept of this show before??” she wrote.

Scenes shown during last night’s episode were filmed before the coronavirus pandemic forced this season of The Bachelor to take extreme measures to continue. Upcoming episodes will see former Survivor star Gilbert resort to Zoom dates with his chosen Bachelorettes.

Love met her fiance Lee Elliot when she was the Bachelorette in 2016. Since then, they have formed a friendship with Gilbert. When he was announced as the 2020 Bachelor, Love shared a photo of the three of them together in Bali, welcoming Gilbert to the Bachelor family.

While she calls it a family, she hasn’t been shy to call out many of the contestants in the franchise this year, including Ciarran Stott and Timm Hanly during their time on Bachelor In Paradise.

“What horribly unattractive people Ciarran and Timm turned out to be. Wow,” the TV journalist said as the season aired, calling out the “toxic masculinity” present on the show.

Fellow Ten reporter Tegan George replied to Love’s comments: “Babes, do I have to ask for Lee’s permission to go out for drinks with you when I eventually get down there?”

Love responded sarcastically: “Yes. I am a woman so I am his property and he decides who I spend time with, obviously.”

Love’s fiance Elliott had also been pretty vocal on social media in calling out fellow reality TV stars. In January, he went head-to-head with Married At First Sight star Dean Wells after he was cast on Dancing With The Stars.

“When did this country start celebrating intolerable, sexist, chauvinistic (people)?” he commented on a promotional image of the DWTS cast.

Responding to Lee’s post, Dean told Daily Mail Australia: “I am as far from any of those things as a person can be.”

Dean was known for cheating on his “wife” Tracey Jewel with Davina Rankin during MAFS 2018.

Georgia and Lee planned on getting married in 2021, however they have since put their plans on hold due to the nationwide coronavirus restrictions.

The pair just celebrated their four-year anniversary, with a sweet snap on social media.

“It was always you,” Love wrote with a rose emoji. “Happy 4 years my fiance!”
