Osher Günsberg was forced to give some bad news to The Bachelor contestant Irena Srbinovska during Wednesday night’s episode.

While Bachelor Locky Gilbert met up with Srbinovska before her hometown date, Günsberg had to crash the date and tell them that they couldn’t travel to Victoria due to the coronavirus border closures.

He told them: “The COVID situation in Melbourne has degraded significantly since you came back to the mansion.

“Now all of Melbourne is back in lockdown, and they have closed the border between New South Wales and Victoria.”

While a highly emotional Irena turned to Locky for a hug, viewers were preoccupied by the way the reality TV show host pronounced the word COVID.

The best way to describe it is that he said coh-vid instead of coe-vid.

With border closures, it meant Irena's family couldn't meet Locky.

Flocking straight to Twitter, fans were quick to mock Günsberg.

While Locky couldn’t meet Irena’s family in person, they were able to do a Zoom chat that went pretty smoothly.

Thursday night’s finale episode will see Locky have to choose between finalists Irena, and Bella Veralis.

In a trailer for the final episode, Locky is faced with the impossible decision as he admits to being in love with both girls.

“They are two of the most incredible women that I’ve ever met in my entire life,” the former Australian Survivor said. “I’m in love with both of them.”

“I mean, who tells someone they love them and then picks someone else?” Bella says in a piece to camera. Oh Bella, have you actually watched The Bachelor before?

The Bachelor season finale airs 7:30pm on Ten.
