Jess wants a Bachelor and a boyfriend and it is causing chaos

One of the contestants boldly wants to keep her boyfriend and gain a bachelor and no one is coping.

Buckle up! This was always going to be a big one because the bachelors are meeting their future in-laws. I can’t wait for Felix to mention his love of dinosaurs to someone’s dad.

Thomas is excited because he knows is going to propose to someone. Jed also admits he is keen to get down on one knee, and Felix is still amazed he can have feelings for women.

Usually, on The Bachelors they just meet the contestant’s family, but this time both families are meeting for a very awkward lunch.

Firstly we get to deal with Felix, who muses that he has never introduced a woman to his parents before – red flag.

Felix’s mum Jenny jokes that she hopes she doesn’t have to deal with a ditzy blonde and wait until she meets polyamorous blonde Jess. The tall man immediately tells his family that one of his girlfriends has a boyfriend.

Unsurprisingly his parents are shocked, and Jenny is near to tears and says quite reasonably, “Isn’t there another show she can go on?” Well, yes, Jenny, but the Bachelor producers are desperate.

Abigail gets to meet the family first. Instead of bringing her family – which would make interesting television – we have to settle with Abigail bringing her mate Georgia.

Georgia, like everyone else wants to talk about Jess/Damian. The two ladies debrief before the lunch, and Abigail tells her how Jessica said she’d be monogamous in therapy but then at the rose ceremony, confessed she’d like to keep having sex with Damian.

Georgia reckons that Abigail shouldn’t tell Felix because it takes away from ‘their’ time, and seriously someone tell Felix – I beg you! Actually, skip Felix and tell his mum. She’ll be on the phone to the police before you can blink.

The lunch goes well because Abigail is normal and nice, and things get so dull that Georgia tries to create drama by saying she’s unsure if Felix is genuine. Felix and Georgia go off and have a meeting where he complains about Jessica giving mixed monogamy signals instead of discussing Georgia’s slur against him. Georgia very calmly points out that he should pick Abigail if he wants a closed relationship.

Meanwhile, Abigail decides to get Jenny alone and tell her about Jessica, and it is everything. Jenny declares that if she loved Felix, she wouldn’t want to have sex with Damian still. Abigail is tickled pink with this outcome.

After the lunch, Felix tells Abigail he would have left the show without her! They make-out and then he tells a producer that the brunette is wife material. However, he still seems more into Jessica – he can’t shut up about her!

Instead of getting to see Jessica navigate Felix’s family we have to endure Jed and Alesia’s families meeting up. Alesia is in a white power suit and complains that she doesn’t want to get engaged to Jed.

Alesia’s brother, dad and sister arrive, and she tells her family how Jed is scared of roller-coasters and wants to propose to her. Seriously, that is all that she said.

Her dad is mortified, and Alesia reassures him that she wouldn’t say yes to a marriage proposal.

Jed arrives with his mum, dad and brother, and it is immediately clear that this isn’t going to work. Alesia’s sister pulls him aside and rouses on him for even thinking about proposing. Jed tells her that just because he paints his nails doesn’t mean he isn’t ready to propose – umm, OK.

The lunch is uncomfortable and Alesia’s dad interrupts periodically with sick burns against Jed, “Look at her and look at Jed! They are like chalk and cheese,” He declares at one point.

Jed’s mum gets annoyed and says she’ll support her boys until she dies. Alesia’s dad says he doesn’t hear wedding bells and – duh, it’d be wedding drums in Jed’s case.

Jed and Alesia go off for a chat, and she says she doesn’t want to get married yet. He says they can have a long engagement. Alesia declares that he is the guy for her, but she feels like he is putting pressure on her.

Jed declares, “She’s rocked him to his core.”

Alesia admits if he proposed, she’d say no.

After being brutally rejected, Jed is off to see Angela and her family. Jed tells his family that he feels balanced when he is with Angela.

Angela’s dad, mum and grandpa arrive, and she tells her parents that Jed has tattoos and travels for work and wants them to be honest when they meet him.

Angela’s parents are much nicer to Jed, and the lunch is going well. Angela’s dad pulls Jed aside for a chat and says he is the kind of guy that doesn’t judge a book by his cover and wants Jed to be a good bloke, and then he gets teary over the idea of his daughter getting engaged.

Afterwards Angela tells Jed that she’s falling in love with him and Jed tells her that he is falling in love with her too.

Meanwhile, the producers have decided Thomas is too boring to keep filming. Thomas meets up with his mum and announces he knows who he will propose too! So, he doesn’t want to meet their families, and he’ll propose to them as soon as he is allowed, aka his storyline is too dull to give screen time too. But, also don’t you wanna meet the family of the woman you love?

Finally, we get to the good stuff! Jessica is meeting Felix’s family and you know it is going to be a train wreck.

Jenny immediately tells Felix that she’s been told Jessica is going to keep having sex with her boyfriend Damian. Felix puts that down to gossip – which has me dead.

Jess arrives flanked with Damian and her two brothers. Yes, Damian is here and he is wearing a suit. Everyone is very uncomfortable, and Jess starts the conversation by telling Felix’s parents about her open relationship - well, she had too! SHE BROUGHT HER BOYFRIEND.

She tells Jenny she applied for the show because she was “curious.” She also prattles on about valuing experiences in life – and things are getting tense.

Jenny finds the weakest link, turns on Damian, and says Jessica pushes him around. Damian disagrees and tells Jenny he isn’t a traditional thinker.

Jenny doesn’t stop! She asks Damian if he’ll ever step away from Jess and Damian says they’ll stay in each other’s lives forever.

Felix finds his voice and tells his mum that Jess still having sex with Damian is out of the question if they get together.

Jenny ignores her son and asks Jessica if she can give up on Damian. Jessica does her usual I’m unsure about monogamy speech and she wants to experience things.

Jenny tells Damian that he has been used as an experience, and she doesn’t want Jessica using Felix as an experience and then calls Jessica a girl of “experiences!” Ouch.

It is all so much that Jess and Damian walk off together and Damian tells Jess that he knows her truth. They then put their heads together and do some weird breathing techniques and Damian tells Jess that he just loves her.

This is all happening while Felix’s family is just WATCHING.

Felix is annoyed that introducing Jessica to his parents has become the Damian show. Felix pulls Damian aside for a chat man to man.

Naturally, it is a complete mess and Damian asks Felix, “Do you want to be in love with someone that is in love with someone else?”

Felix says, “No!”

Well, there you go - can these three just become a throuple and put everyone out of their misery.

Finally, the unlikely throuple sit down together to discuss things. At this point it is unclear what Felix’s family is doing.

Felix tells Jessica that he thinks she’s in love with Damian and asks, “Is there anything in there for me?”

Jessica explains she’s not comfortable having that conversation after everything that has happened today - aka your mum was mean.

Clearly the producers aren’t going to give us any solid answers until the finale! And yes, Damian is coming to that as well.
