‘It was humiliating’: Bach villains unveil truth

AFTER the most dramatic scenes in Bachelor history this year’s ‘mean girls’ have come clean on what really happened — and why they are furious at producers.

THEIR time on The Bachelor was brought to a spectacular end on Thursday night, with all three of this year’s ‘mean girls’ leaving the mansion after a drama-packed cocktail party.

But despite months passing since filming, series villains Cat Henesy, Romy Poulier and Alisha Aitken-Radburn are still fuming about their time on the show.

“I have so much more to offer with my personality and they’ve just humiliated me,” Cat told news.com.au, accusing producers of only showing snippets of conversations and remarks made about other contestants.

For Alisha their edit was simply “awful” while Romy feels betrayed by producers who lulled her into a false sense of security.

“I kind of regret having such an opinion,” Romy said. “I feel like at times we were a little manipulated to feel comfortable enough to give our opinion, which is then being taken out of context, twisted, and turned and built into this incredibly bitchy storyline.”

On Thursday night, Cat was booted at the cocktail party after Tenille Favios told Nick she had instigated the verbal spat viewers saw between her and Romy.

Tenille accused Cat of being the ringleader during her confrontation with Romy, holding all three girls responsible for her dramatic run off set.

“At the time to be honest it was a massive shock and I was pretty upset about it,” Cat said of her dumping.

“The fact that I had been living with all these girls and created such good relationships and not been able to say goodbye to anyone, just literally jumping in the car and having my bags packed for me was pretty full on.”

At the rose ceremony Alisha missed out on a rose while a tearful Romy chose to leave the competition, declaring it had all gotten too much.

Watching episodes as they go to air, the trio claim they have received a bad edit with “every single mean thing we said is probably in every episode” while other contestants’ catty comments were cut.

“The argument with Tenille (on Wednesday's episode), like the whole house was having words with her but they just show me like I’m the bully. Like everyone was upset with Tenille, no-one would talk to her for days,” Romy claimed.

“Essentially what had happened is she had come home from her single date, and then in a room full of girls who’d also had single dates really explicitly described (what happened),” Alisha added.

Cat claimed Tenille’s dramatic exit had been carefully choreographed, adding: “When she ran away, she strategically didn’t go out through the lounge room which is the normal exit of the house.

“She ran straight to the side gate which was right past where Nick was sitting with another girl so he would see her running off and crying.”

Another contestant the trio believe has gotten off scot-free is Shannon Baff, who came to verbal blows with Romy in an earlier episode.

“There was a lot of times where she would abuse people and fly off the handle,” Romy told news.com.au.

“She told me I wouldn’t work in politics again, told Nick he was there for money,” Labor staffer Alisha said, adding that she was also disappointed that her close friendship with frontrunner Brooke hadn’t been shown.

While the girls conceded it had been “obvious from our first week” during filming that they would be this season’s villains, they believe the level of abuse they have received from viewers has been unfair.

“It’s awful, I couldn’t sleep last night,” Cat said. “I was waking up and I have 500 or something DMs from people telling me to kill myself, telling me I’m fat and ugly and a waste of space. The most nasty things you could ever imagine and no one deserves that.”

“I just think it is very, very, disproportionate,” Alisha added, revealing she too had received abusive messages.

“I just don’t know what any of us have done on the show to warrant that abuse.”

— The Bachelor continues next Wednesday at 7.30pm on Network 10
