Former Bachelor star Georgia Tripos can’t say where $3500 in safe came from
A FORMER Bachelor contestant has appeared before a judge accused of trafficking drugs and texting people about a substance called “M”.
GEORGIA Tripos has faced court charged with trafficking cocaine after the former Bachelor contestant was allegedly found with thousands of dollars in her car and her Melbourne home.
Ms Tripos and her friend Kristiana Karakostas appeared in the Melbourne Magistrates Court on Friday for a committal hearing to determine if they will stand trial.
The court was told $3500 was found in a safe at Ms Tripos’ parents’ home, where she lives, as well as $2000 and $1136 in purses found in her car.
It is alleged Ms Tripos had no answer when asked where the money came from. Defence lawyers argued the money could have been obtained legitimately.
The court was also told text messages downloaded from the women’s phones showed them talking about a substance called “M”.
However, lawyers argued any jury shouldn’t “guess” or speculate what “M” was.
Channel 10, which broadcasts The Bachelor in Australia, declined to comment when previously contacted by news.com.au.
Ms Tripos made headlines last year after posting images on Instagram sporting significantly fuller lips. Her Instagram account has since been deleted.
The former reality TV star infamously went rogue during a back seat rant after getting booted from The Bachelor last year, taking aim at the show’s producers.
She says producers lied to her about the cameras being off during her post-eviction exit drive and also threatened her if she didn’t “b**tch” about other girls.
“Who the f**k are they? Like …” Tripos huffed in the back of the car after she didn’t receive a rose from Richie Strahan.
The hearing at the Melbourne Magistrates’ Court continues.
