Bachelor winner Irena Srbinovska expresses her one worry about being with Locky

They have spent their time after the finale on camping and hiking adventures, but now Irena has expressed she has one worry about being with Locky.

Locklan ‘Locky’ Gilbert and Bachelor winner Irena Srbinovska have spent their time post reality show camping and hiking in beautiful isolated locations in New South Wales.

But the couple are gearing up to go back to Locky’s hometown in Perth, with Irena packing up her life to permanently live with her new man.

However it appears Irena may be dreading the move, telling The Wash it’s her biggest “worry” right now.

Irena revealed that she’s “too busy worrying” about relocating to Western Australia to respond to the Instagram drama that went down with runner up and former best friend Bella Varelis.

“I’m not applying for a blue tick on Instagram [laughs]! Locky had his before The Bachelor. I don’t know, I might get one in the future – but for now I’m focused on us. I’m too busy worrying about us getting to WA, that’s my focus.”

But maybe her worries are less about her relationship, and more about the fact that the couple will have to quarantine together for two weeks when they arrive in Western Australia, thanks to the coronavirus restrictions.

Adding to her stress is probably the fact that most of Irena’s possessions are still in Melbourne, where she has lived all of her life.

In September, the nurse had to quarantine in a hotel in New South Wales after Channel Ten set requirements for her to be in Sydney for press after the finale aired.

The move comes after an Instagram swipe Locky made about Bondi, where runner up Bella Varelis and fellow contestant Bec Cvilikas live.

“What a bloody great weekend. 3 days 2 nights and 600km. Could not be happier with the @ducatiausnz and all our camping gear from @decathlonau. But a massive congrats to my beautiful Girlfriend for her first multi day bike ride. Love you so much,” Locky wrote with a photo of him and Irena camping.

A Daily Mail journalist then commented saying: “Thanks for the invite. Looks like fun.” Locky then replied with his seemingly shady dig at some of the other contestants:

“Have to have some secrets. We not too keen on the whole Bondi vibe. Give us the mountains any day.”

And then Varelis, who was brutally dumped on the finale, gave a savage response.

“I’m unsure why they’re making references towards me and how I’m living my life. I have better things to do than make subtle digs towards an ex,” she told The Wash.

“I’ve moved on and so should they.”

Earlier that week, Irena made similar comments when she said she didn’t care about being verified on Instagram.

“I’m not about being an influencer, just about being real,” the 31-year-old nurse told Daily Mail Australia after being asked why her account wasn’t verified yet, when a lot of her fellow contestants accounts were.

“I haven’t even applied for it,” she said. “I don’t really care about it.”

While the new couple seem perfectly matched, one of the girls who was vying for Locky’s heart on the show, Maddy Carver, thinks otherwise.

While chatting to Hobart’s Jimmy & Nath recently, the 25-year-old schoolteacher admitted that she “can’t see them getting married”.

“Locky had all these girls’ attention inside the mansion,” she said.

“It would be really hard to go back to life just having one girl, don’t you think?” she added.

The admission might come as a surprise to Bachelor fans, who saw Locky call Irena his “future wife and baby mama” in his post-finale Instagram post.
