Bachelor in Paradise: Abbie Chatfield reveals truth about night with Ciarran Stott

It was the steamy session that had everyone talking during the Bachelor premiere - and now Abbie Chatfield has spilled all the details.

Who gets Jamie's rose (Bachelor In Paradise)

Abbie Chatfield has revealed the truth about her “steamy hook-up” with Ciarran Stott after being sent home without a rose from Bachelor in Paradise.

During the premiere, they appeared to share a hot and heavy night together in Abbie’s room, just hours after he’d finished up a date with Cassandra Mamone.

Through the use of night-vision cameras, viewers watched as the pair cuddled up together – and while they never explicitly described what had gone on, Abbie could be heard telling castmates he’d spent “three hours” in her bed.

But speaking to news.com.au following her elimination on Thursday, the 24-year-old revealed what really happened during their night together.

“We didn’t even kiss – and I would tell you!” Abbie insisted.

“He was just touching my leg, and rubbing my hip … not even sexually. We just had a little chat.”

However, she confessed there had been “tension” between them.

“We wanted to do stuff, but it was a mutual thing of like, ‘oh, should we or should we not, it’s day one …’,” Abbie told news.com.au.

Last year, fellow Bachelor in Paradise alum Keira Maguire lifted the lid on the very awkward process involved with hooking up on the reality dating show, including both parties verbally confirming their consent on camera to producers beforehand – and Abbie admitted that had been a big “mood killer”.

“That’s what stopped (me and Ciarran),” she explained.

“He was just patting my hand, and they were like, ‘Guys, do you want to give consent?’ and we were like … ‘nah’.”

While fans were devastated to see Ciarran appear to dump Abbie after their one-on-one date in favour of new arrival Jess Brody – ultimately leading to her shock elimination – Abbie revealed on the Kyle and Jackie O show this morning that they’d actually had a conversation about it beforehand.

“We had a conversation after the date, that I initiated, where I said to him, ‘Listen, I know we don’t like each other’, because I didn’t like him either,” she told the hosts.

“But that obviously wasn’t shown (on the show) because it didn’t fit. I just think we didn’t vibe, we didn’t have the same interests.”

And for all those pushing for Abbie to return for another shot at love on The Bachelor franchise?

“I’d more quickly be a contestant on The Bachelor again over doing Bachelor in Paradise.”
