Bachelor couple Sam and Tara reveal juicy set secrets: ‘There were no cameras in there’
THERE were plenty of hook-ups on Bachelor in Paradise, including between newly-engaged couple Sam and Tara. But keeping their trysts away from the cameras wasn’t easy.
NEWLY-engaged couple Sam and Tara have revealed how they managed to keep their X-rated antics away from the cameras during filming for Bachelor in Paradise.
The fan favourites became engaged during the teary final moments of the series, after weeks spent side-by-side at the resort.
BACHELOR FINALE: ‘You can see her heart breaking’
In an interview with Nova’s Fitzy and Wippa this morning, the happy couple spilled on how they kept the spark going amid all the cameras in Paradise, admitting they’d had plenty of “cabin time”.
“There were cameras in there, so you couldn’t really do too much,” Tara explained, before Sam interrupted: “We didn’t care!”
“ ... But there were no cameras in the shower,” Tara continued suggestively.
When pressed on their sex life, Sam jokingly confirmed: “Well, you’re not going to propose unless you’ve tried the goods, are you?”
It was all smooth sailing from what viewers could see, but the couple actually had a mini speed-bump in their relationship on the third date, when they realised they had an unfortunate connection.
“She hooked up with my cousin, years ago,” Sam told the radio hosts, adding that they’d realised Tara had grown up in Terrigal, the same town as his cousins.
“He was like, ‘Oh, do you know my cousin Dax? And I was like, ‘Yeah, I hooked up with him when I was 15!’” Tara confessed.
In an interview with Kyle and Jackie O, the couple elaborated on the unromantic steps they had to take before getting intimate in Paradise.
During another interview at KIIS, Sam told Kyle and Jackie O that during filming, producers had required contestants to verbally “consent” to any X-rated action before they were allowed to proceed — because of duty of care and the alcohol that was being served.
“You do the consent part early, like after dinner — so you’re sorted for the rest of the night,” Sam explained.
So having had their entire love story play out on national TV, will the couple be filming their wedding too?
“I would have never considered it, but the amount of love and support we’ve gotten. Australia’s been so beautiful,” Sam said, with Tara adding: “We’ve gotten so many messages asking for wedding invites, and asking us to televise it.”
