A Bachelor contestant has made a series of shocking claims about Locky Gilbert, claiming the reality star is nothing more than a “puppet”.

The Bachelor Australia 2020 Episode 1 Recap: Ranga Rage

A Bachelor contestant has made a series of shocking claims about Locky Gilbert, claiming the reality star is a “puppet” who will go down as one of “the most hated Bachelors”.

Nadine, who was booted from the show in the first rose ceremony, dropped bombshell after bombshell on the So Dramatic podcast and even went as far as to claim this year’s season is rigged.

LOCKY IS A ‘PUPPET’

Nadine, 30, claimed that Locky was fed lines by producers via an earpiece during her interactions with him.

“He’s a puppet and I saw that from the first five minutes,” Nadine said.

She claimed that during her introduction scene where she met Locky for the first time, she could hear producers advising him with lines including: “Tell her she’s beautiful, ask her what does she do, how does she feel”.

Nadine said it was “extremely distracting” and she called the bachelor out on it straight away.

“I actually said to him, ‘can you not speak for yourself? Do you have to listen to what they’re saying to you?’” Nadine said on the So Dramatic podcast.

Locky allegedly played dumb and said he didn’t know what she was talking about, but producers stepped in immediately and made her redo the scene.

“They were like, ‘Nadine, you can’t talk about production, do it again!’” she claimed. “It’s literally all rehearsed.”

WHY SHE WAS ELIMINATED

Nadine made a number of shocking claims about how the women on the show are treated by producers.

She claimed that “they literally don’t feed you” and that filming of the first rose ceremony took two nights from “five in the afternoon … until the sun comes up”.

Nadine also alleged that the show’s drink limit of two drinks per hour is a lie.

“They tell you, ‘oh we’ve got drinks limits, we’ve got psychologists’ … They have nada. It’s just all for show,” she said.

Responding to the allegations, a Network 10 spokesperson said: “Responsible service of alcohol guidelines are observed at all times by the production company, Warner Bros., during filming of The Bachelor, and alcohol consumption is closely monitored by staff.”

Nadine, however, claimed she was so disappointed about how the show was run that she told producers she was going to quit.

“I’m a criminologist by trade, yeah, so what will take girls a month or whatever to realise what these people are up to, it took me five minutes,” she said. “They (producers) hated it, they hated that I could see it, I could read it.”

Nadine claimed on the podcast that she was then threatened with a lawsuit if she did leave and was instead told to wait until the rose ceremony when she would be eliminated from the show.

LOCKY’S DODGY DEAL

Nadine claimed she is 95 per cent certain Bella will win the show and said there is a rumour among the contestants that Bella and Locky had a deal in place before the show started filming.

“She basically made an agreement to go on the show and then they’d be together,” Nadine said about Bella.

“She told someone (one of the other contestants) that she thought she could trust, she told her that they met in Bali, they had an agreement, it was always going to be her.

“Basically we were all just background puppets to create drama and she was always gonna be the one to win,” Nadine continued. “Everyone else didn’t even have a chance.

“It’s mentally fu**ed up what they have to go through and then they come out in the end with nothing. I wasn’t going to stand for it!”

In response to Nadine’s So Dramatic claims, Bella told the Herald Sun she “didn’t even have a conversation with Nadine.”

She said of the rumours: “I don’t listen to it because 99 per cent of it would be complete bulls***.”

NOT IMPRESSED WITH LOCKY

Nadine made it clear in the podcast that she is not a fan of Locky.

“I think some bachelors go on there with the intention of finding love, but unfortunately I feel like … I honestly got the worst one,” she said. “I got one that was fake.”

“We (a group of the contestants) actually said he’s going to be this year’s most hated bachelor,” she added.

The Bachelor continues on Wednesday night at 7.30pm on Channel 10
