Steve Price brought to tears by letter from home

SHOCK jock Steve Price has finally broken down after entering the jungle camp on I’m A Celebrity … Get Me Out Of Here!

SHOCK jock Steve Price has broken down two and a half weeks after entering the South African jungle camp on I’m A Celebrity … Get Me Out Of Here!

But it’s not the measly food rations or physical challenges that brought the outspoken radio host to tears.

A letter from daughter Lucy on Valentine’s Day pushed him reduced the 62-year-old to sobs.

“When you get to my age you realise that weekends with children are disappearing because they are leaving home,” he cried.

“It is my one regret about being here is that my kids are leaving home and not coming back for a while and I am not there so sorry Lucy but thanks for the card.”

Price and public servant partner Wendy Black have two daughters, Lucy and Kate.

Lucy’s letter read: “Your determination in all of the challenges so far has been inspiring to watch and I never doubted you for one minute.

“I have a list of news stories to tell you about when you get back but I won’t ruin the surprise.”

Price wasn’t the only one crying with all 11 celebrities in camp also receiving letters. Casey Donovan heard from her mum, stepdad and pet cat.

AFL legend Dane Swan heard from partner Taylor Wilson, who kept her Valentine’s Day poem light.

“The couch is so lonely, the Foxtel is sad, I lost two TV remotes, please don’t be mad,” her letter read.

Swan joked: “I’m obviously missing her a lot too and I can’t wait to go and find those remotes.”

Natalie Bassingthwaighte, 41, broke down over her note from muso husband, Cam McGlinchey and young kids Harper and Hendrix.

“You are the most staggering wife I could possibly imagine having, the most incredibly fulfilling mother and we cannot wait to get you back,” McGlinchey wrote, adding: “PS. Don’t you dare say those words (I’m A Celebrity … Get Me Out of Here!).”

She responded: “I have never spent so many days not seeing my children or him so it is definitely the hardest thing I’ve ever had to do but I won’t say those f***ing words even if I have to fall off a fricken cliff.”

“I’m a very lucky girl so I know that when I get out of here they will be waiting for me with open arms.”
