Social media in uproar over disqualification of deaf Ninja Warrior contestant
VIEWERS have accused Channel Nine of humiliating a deaf contestant on Ninja Warrior after his dream ended on a technicality on last night’s episode.
THE disqualification of deaf Ninja Warrior contestant Paul Cashion has angered some viewers after his dream was ended on a technicality.
Cashion was disqualified on the first obstacle, where contestants have to hop from platform to platform across water, when his foot slipped in.
He made it across the obstacle but didn’t hear the siren that signalled the end of his turn, moving on to the next challenge. He only realised his shot was over after his son, Josh, caught his attention and interpreted for him.
Viewers voiced their displeasure over the incident on social media, calling for the show to give Cashion another chance.
Others called the show out on “disgraceful editing”.
Worse television moment I've seen for some time. Your producers humiliated him. Why not edit the part out where his step-son had 2explain?
