Roxy Jacenko hits back at brutally mean tweets before her reality show airs

Some people were less than thrilled when Channel 10 announced it was airing a reality show about Roxy Jacenko’s life.

“I’d rather masturbate with a cheese grater than watch this.”

That was just one of the reactions on Twitter when Channel 10 announced a reality show about Roxy Jacenko would air as part of its Pilot Week experiment.

I Am … Roxy! premieres tomorrow night after The Bachelor and will give viewers “a raw, uncensored and unapologetic look at the life of the controversial PR guru, author, wife and mum-of-two”, according to Channel 10.

The reality show is one of four that will air during Pilot Week, and after all have aired Channel 10 will use a variety of measures including social media reaction and timeslot performance to help decide which shows will be commissioned for a full series.

I Am … Roxy! is easily the most talked-about show out of the four and has been met with equal parts excitement and derision online.

But Jacenko, who’s used to copping hate online, hit back at her critics when she took part in a Mean tweets segment for news.com.au. Check it out in the video player at the top of the page.
