Christina Haack’s mission to sell her $7 million farmhouse in the US has taken another public turn.

Christina Haack had an awkward encounter with estranged husband Josh Hall amid their bitter divorce.

The former couple have been at odds over Haack’s $US4.5 million ($A6.9 million) Tennessee farmhouse since their split last year after three years of marriage.

On her Instagram stories, the TV star, 41, detailed her surprise run-in with Hall while dining at a restaurant. The interior designer posed a snap of her clinking glasses with her 14-year-old daughter Taylor and her co-star (and Taylor’s stepmum) Heather Rae El Moussa, 37.

“When you’re having a relaxing GNO with @heatherraeelmoussa and Tay and (snake) shows up at your spot,” Christina wrote over the boomerang. On the table, menus for the Newport Beach, California restaurant, Ocean 48, can be seen.

Haack’s use of the snake emoji appears to be a swipe at Josh, who tagged the same restaurant in his Instagram Stories while out with friends on the same night.

“Little surf and turf with this crew,” he captioned a photo of him and his pals seated at a table.

The unexpected run-in comes weeks after Haack delisted her farmhouse again as Hall continues his legal battle to block the sale.

The TV personality first listed the property back in October, only to take it off the market three weeks later, when it was revealed that Hall had filed a temporary emergency order to try to halt the sale of the home, which is known as Parker Branch.

Hall — who was living in the Franklin, Tennessee, house when it was listed — claimed the property was put up for sale without his consent, despite him offering Haack a global settlement, which she turned down.

Although Haack bought the home before she and Hall were married, he claimed in legal documents that the “paydown of the mortgage during marriage” entitled him to a say in what happened to the property.

Hall and Haack announced their separation in July, just weeks after the cameras had started rolling on their new show, in which they were meant to be taking part in a renovation battle against Tarek and Heather Rae El Moussa.

In the wake of their break-up, Haack continued filming “The Flip Off” without him, and HGTV removed Hall from all promotional materials for the show.

The reality star has been relying on guest stars and friends to help her face off with her former husband, Tarek, and his wife.
