One word sees Big Brother contestant immediately kicked off show

A contestant on the latest US season of Big Brother has been booted out of the house after this shocking moment caught on camera.

Luke Valentine, one of the houseguests on Big Brother Season 25, has been removed from the house after getting caught saying the N-word on camera Wednesday morning.

According to TMZ, live footage captured Valentine with fellow contestants Cory Wurtenberger, Hisam Goueli and Jared Fields, as he said, “We were in the f**king [inaudible] room, n*****.” He attempted to cover up his wrongdoing by uttering “dude,” but the three others had already heard him say the slur.

While Goueli and Wurtenberger became uncomfortable and made their way out of the room, with the latter saying, “You gotta go to bed, Luke,” Valentine looked to Fields, who is Black. Fields replied, “Yo, you’re off the f**king ledge.”

Once the two had left, Valentine told Fields, “He got more mad about that then you. A little slip of the tongue,” appearing to try and make light of the situation. Fields replied, “I don’t give a f**k.”

The show’s US network CBS released a statement later on Wednesday that read as follows: “Luke violated the Big Brother code of conduct and there is zero tolerance in the house for using a racial slur. He has been removed from the house. His departure will be addressed in Thursday night’s show,” per Variety.

This is not the first time that Big Brother houseguests have been caught using racist and offensive language. TMZ highlighted similar instances from Season 20 in 2018, including houseguest Kaitlyn Herman using the N-word when singing Drake’s “0 to 100,” and contestants Angela Rummans and Rachel Swindler describing their tans as “looking ghetto” and comparing their skin tone to Black contestant Bayleigh Dayton.

In the previous cases, contestants were not eliminated from the show and were solely given a warning by producers. In Valentine’s case, CBS and the Big Brother producers are rightfully taking action.
