Block contestants Mitch and Mark have angrily slammed the show’s judges, storming off set after receiving their critiques for the week.

The Block contestants Mitch and Mark dramatically stormed out on host Scott Cam after Sunday night’s judging, fuming over some tough critiques they received from the judges about their kitchen.

The All-Star couple came dead last during kitchen week, with all three judges agreeing their space had one fatal flaw: No pantry, with food instead to be spread among the kitchen cupboards.

The judges agreed the lack of pantry was a big mistake.

Shaynna Blaze called it a “massive oversight,” Darren Palmer said it was “dumb”, while Neale Whitaker labelled the whole kitchen “style over substance”.

“This isn’t a kitchen you can work in, and this would put a buyer off,” said Blaze.

Mitch and Mark snapped back when host Scott Cam passed on that feedback during judging, saying the judges “hadn’t seen modern kitchens,” were “clearly not ahead of the kitchen design game” and refusing each of their suggestions on how to improve the room.

“Their comments are pretty stupid. I have no respect for the judges, so I wouldn’t let someone hurt me who I have no respect for,” said Mark.

Tempers flared again when the final judges’ scores were delivered, with Mitch muttering a few F-bombs at each score. “F**k you,” he said as Darren Palmer’s score of 7.5 was revealed.

Scores revealed – and with Kirsty and Jesse receiving a winning 29.5 points, Mitch and Mark a distant last place on 22.5 – Scott Cam congratulated the contestants and started to brief them on the week ahead.

Mitch and Mark were out, though, turning their backs on him mid-sentence and storming out of the studio.

“I was going to say good night and good luck boys, but you’re already gone,” he called after them.

Stopping for an interview on their way out, the couple railed against the judges’ feedback.

“I don’t have a lot of need for the judges’ opinion anymore,” said Mark. “Their feedback is irrelevant to us. Their opinion is irrelevant to us.”

“I’m supposed to listen to them? Go f**k yourselves,” said Mitch. “This is absolutely a farce. Out. See ya.”

It’s the latest incident in what’s been a very dramatic season of The Block, with a weeks-long cheating scandal that’s seen bitter divisions form between the contestants.
