My Kitchen Rules: Victor and Piper’s secret relationship exposed

An insider has lifted the lid on what really went on behind the scenes with My Kitchen Rules contestants, Piper and Victor.

A My Kitchen Rules insider has lifted the lid on the sex scandal that will play out on air this week.

In last night’s episode, Piper (who is paired with her friend Veronica) was accused of feeding information to Victor (who is paired with his mate, G) about what other teams had said about him when he wasn’t in the room.

The allegations, which left Victor fuming, are raised again in tonight’s episode resulting in both Victor and Piper storming off the set.

You might be asking yourself, why would Piper feed information like that to a rival contestant? Well, tonight we find out why.

With both of them out of the room, Piper’s teammate Veronica drops a bombshell and reveals that the two contestants have been hooking up behind the scenes.

“When she (Piper) f***ing leaves at night time and goes into his (Victor’s) bed, I don’t know what the f**k is said,” Veronica says at the table in front of all the other teams.

The revelation stuns the table but the rival teams don’t mention it when Victor and Piper eventually return to the table, so the two remain unaware their secret relationship has been exposed.

An MKR insider spoke exclusively to news.com.au about the scandal and revealed what really went on behind the scenes.

News.com.au: Was it well known among production crew that Piper and Victor had been hooking up?

MKR insider: There had been rumours flying around for weeks but this is reality TV. Cast can try to cause all sorts of trouble for each other. To them it’s a massive game of manipulation. Gossip by cast is always rife on set. It’s not until you get actual confessions or see something yourself that you believe it, and boy did we get a confession from Piper’s roommate. Veronica had witnessed it all!

News.com.au: Victor was in a terrible mood in last night’s episode. At one stage he sat there spinning a knife at the table and refused to chat to others. Were producers concerned about his behaviour?

MKR insider: Production staff became aware that Victor’s behaviour behind the scenes was becoming more and more unpredictable and at times intimidating. Other cast felt extremely on edge and concerned by his mood swings. But Victor was very clever. He never did it while production was there. He would choose his times and his places.

The EP (executive producer) had an emergency meeting with Victor and G and strongly advised them to change their attitude, and that disrespectful and intimidating behaviour would not be tolerated.

Because tensions were so high, production thought it best to separate Victor and G from the cast. Separate accommodation were organised and they travelled to and from set on their own. But this didn’t stop Piper. She was still leaving her accommodation and sneaking off to Victor’s hotel.

News.com.au: Victor storms out in tonight’s episode. How long was he gone for and what had to be done to coax him back to the Instant Restaurant?

MKR insider: Everyone, the cast and crew, knew the tensions were extremely high but we were all totally caught off guard when he finally snapped and stormed out. Our crew tried their best to follow him down the street and around corner, but Victor was enraged and he just bolted.

The executive producer was concerned for his wellbeing and wanted to make sure that he was OK. But he also knew that Victor needed some space to cool off. It was actually Victor’s best mate G who was able to calm him down and get him to return to the table once Victor was in control of his emotions.

News.com.au: Piper also stormed out of the Instant Restaurant after Victor left the table. How long was she gone for?

MKR insider: Piper was determined to run after Victor and find him. But she was asked to remain at the Instant Restaurant while the situation was being managed. Victor obviously needed some space to calm down and gather his emotions and the last thing anyone needed was Piper inflaming the situation any more than it already was.

MKR insider: Piper was blissfully unaware that her little secret had been outed by her best mate at the table but I’m sure the taxi ride back to the hotel would have been interesting.
