MasterChef contestant Laura slammed for ‘bad attitude’ during team challenge
Laura’s shaping up to be the most controversial contestant left on MasterChef, with fans arguing heatedly about her every episode.
Monday night’s MasterChef: All Stars episode saw the first kitchen scenes filmed in coronavirus isolation, with contestants issued new rules for social distancing and judge Melissa Leong absent from the challenge.
A “relay” team challenge was set to ensure social distancing measures were met in the filming space.
“Welcome to a brand-new week and a whole new world,” Judge Jock Zonfrillo said at the beginning of the episode.
Just as the rest of the world did when social distancing was first introduced, MasterChef contestants struggled with the new way of interacting.
“I want to hug you so bad right now,” Poh told fellow contestant Sarah Tiong following her clumsy cook.
And at the end of the intense task, the stars were forced to come up with creative ways to congratulate each other without hi-fives and hugs, including this hilarious moment:

It’s unclear whether MasterChef viewers are more unimpressed by contestant Laura Sharrad or hibachi grills this season.
On Monday, viewers ripped into the pasta queen yet again — this time for her “unsupportive” attitude during Monday’s team challenge.
It comes just a week after she was slammed for her “smug” move towards fellow contestant Sarah Tiong.

As Laura watched teammate Reece struggle to cook a piece of fish on the season’s favourite kitchen gadget – the hibachi grill — during Monday’s relay challenge, she grew increasingly frustrated, throwing her hands up at one point and muttering “oh my god,” under her breath.
“If he undercooks this fish, I’m going to cry,” she said while watching Reece opt to use a pan instead of persisting with hibachi grill’s roaring flame around the raw piece of fish.
When the team members were let back in to the kitchen from their position outside — a safe social distance away — to congratulate their fellow chefs, Laura was quick to criticise Reece’s cooking, this time to his face.
“What did you do to that fish?,” she yelled from one end of the kitchen to a downcast Reece.
“I'm hoping I didn't overcook my fish. I just hope I haven't let everyone down,” Reece then said to the camera, looking deflated.
Fans were not having it.
Flocking to social media to throw their support behind viewer favourite Reece, many were quick to assert that Laura’s actions smacked of a “bad attitude”.
“I’ve kept my mouth shut but what the f*** was with Laura’s “what did you do with that fish?” to Reece?! He didn’t feel comfortable using the hibachi so he made a decision to pan fry. What’s with the attitude,” one wrote.
Laura needs to get over herself! So much disrespect for her team and others continually...getting over it #MasterChefAU

Tone is everything guys. She wasn't telling him off. It's one of those "What did you do" comments you make with your friends when they do something weird. Not being nasty. Just chill. #MasterChefAU
I think Iâm a Laura in team situations. Itâs really hard to relinquish control on stuff youâre getting graded for! Let me fail on my own merit! #MasterChefAU #MasterChefAU
