Viewers devastated for MAFS bride Sandy over ‘heartbreaking’ moment

Sandy’s emotional breakdown on last night’s MAFS has tugged at the heartstrings of viewers, who have rallied around the “beautiful” bride.

Viewers have rallied around distraught Married At First Sight bride Sandy Jawanda following her emotional breakdown on last night’s episode.

In one of the most “genuinely heartbreaking” moments to ever air on MAFS, the Victorian-based dental assistant, 36, broke down in tears after hearing her ‘husband’ Dan Hunjas, 42, badmouthed her to fellow grooms during a night out.

Intruder bride Evelyn Ellis, 26, was seen informing Sandy she overheard the “disrespectful” conversation after being pocket dialled, where she listened to Dan declaring he was “too good” for the experiment and his partner, before he bragged about how hot his ex-girlfriends were.

It came shortly after Sandy and Dan finally consummated their TV marriage following Sunday’s commitment ceremony.

The information completely broke Sandy’s heart, particularly considering she fell out with her strict, traditional Indian parents prior to entering the Channel 9 experiment.

Sandy's breakdown has broken MAFS viewers' hearts.

“I went against my parents, my dad’s biggest concern was that I would come here and I would be disrespected and that’s exactly what happened,” Sandy said, struggling to speak through tears. “I just feel broken.”

Fans have taken to social media after watching the difficult moment unfold, declaring that Sandy “deserved better”.

We joke on here about all the MAFS silliness - but Sandy’s response tonight was really genuinely heartbreaking.

Viewers have been left surprised by marketing tycoon Dan, who up until Monday night’s episode was considered one of the most stand-up grooms on the show.

The father-of-one went from doting over his ‘wife’ for most of the experiment, to going cold on her in recent days, with Sandy expressing concerns he was “disappearing” for much of the day.

But the couple’s doomed relationship was revealed weeks ago.

Dan and Sandy have hit rock bottom almost out of nowhere.

Just one day after his wedding aired in late January, Dan was spotted kissing a Gold Coast nurse who attended his TV nuptials.

Samantha Symes shared a loved-up photo of the pair on her Instagram stories after a date night at Sydney’s Star Casino.

It’s understood Dan – who drives a Porsche 911 – has since been served legal papers by Nine after spoiling the storyline by going public with his new flame.

The successful entrepreneur is semi-retired and has a 16-year-old daughter.
