‘Twenty nymphomaniacs in a hotel together’: Married At First Sight’s Dean Wells spills show secrets

MAFS’ Dean and Tracey have lifted the lid on what really happens when the film crew goes home. Apparently it’s wild.

MARRIED At First Sight’s “cheating groom” Dean Wells has spilled the beans on what really goes on behind the scenes on the controversial dating reality show, hinting that their late-night hangouts can get pretty wild.

In an interview with Kyle and Jackie O, Dean — along with “wife” Tracey Jewel — fuelled rumours of steamy off-camera antics, telling the hosts that there’s plenty viewers don’t see.

“We’re not supposed to party, and that’s completely against the rules, but pretty much every night it happens,” Dean said.

“A lot of stuff happens in the hotel rooms that no one really knows about ... Twenty extrovert nymphomaniacs in a hotel together — I think that was a bad idea.”

“Why did they put us all up together, really?” Tracey added.

Dean has been facing a wave of backlash this week over his “affair” with Davina Rankin, but attempted to defend himself today by insisting it wasn’t as bad as it seemed.

“We didn’t [have sex] — we didn’t even kiss!” he told Kyle and Jackie O.

“Everything you saw [on TV], that’s all that happened.”

Dean continued: “[I’m] definitely getting a bit of backlash. A lot of people are hating me. I did what I did so I take responsibility ... I don’t blame people for having those opinions of me at the moment.”

During Sunday night’s explosive episode, Dean abruptly changed his mind about dumping Tracey for Davina, and instead came clean about the secret tryst.

It was a 180-flip that shocked everyone — so what made him change his mind?

“Davina’s a lovely girl, but she scared me off,” Dean admitted.

“She came on really strong, she said she wanted to marry me ... She didn’t even really know me and it just scared me off, and made me really think about everything.”

Last week, we watched as Dean and Davina discussed how they would leave their partners during the next commitment ceremony — but just hours later, he was in bed with his wife, and it was that intimate moment that seemed to have changed his mind about their relationship.

“It wasn’t about anything physical, it was that Tracey and I had another amazing conversation,” Dean explained, with Tracey adding that they’d started to get hot and heavy on the way home from the dinner party. “All the good stuff happens in the taxi ride!” she said.

The pair also turned up on the Fitzy and Wippa show this morning, where Tracey elaborated on why she’d forgiven him for going behind her back with another bride.

“I just appreciated the honesty - he just gave me his phone to look at all the messages, and he answered all my questions,” she told the Nova hosts.
