Shock as MAFS heartthrob Duncan in cosy pics with ‘villain’ bride Carolina

WARNING: Spoilers. This season’s most popular MAFS groom has been pictured in a very intimate scene with one of the show’s most controversial brides.

One of the most popular grooms to ever appear on Married At First Sight has been filmed during an intimate moment with last season’s “villain” bride.

Images have surfaced of Duncan James – whose crumbling TV marriage to Alyssa Barmonde is currently playing out on the show – looking particularly cosy with Carolina Santos on a night out in Sydney.

Yahoo Lifestyle reports that the pictures were taken back in January by an onlooker, who had recognised Carolina from last season.

“I had no idea who Duncan was then because the new season had now started. It looked like they were on a date but they had other friends with them,” the source said.

Duncan and Alyssa’s relationship has been turbulent.

Carolina was a controversial contestant last season.

Carolina enraged many viewers in 2022 after dating fellow contestant Daniel Holmes behind her TV partner Dion Giannarelli’s back.

Carolina and Daniel went on to date for months after filming wrapped, but announced their split in August last year.

The resurfaced pictures will come as a potential MAFS spoiler, given that Duncan and Alyssa are still technically together on the show.

The contestants are kept under strict instructions by Nine to keep their personal life low-profile during filming so as to avoid ruining the ending for viewers.

It comes just a day after another MAFS groom, Dan Hunjas, seemingly went public with his new girlfriend.

It’s understood Dan is now dating influencer Chloe Patterson, who shared a loved-up picture to Instagram, along with a bouquet of flowers he’d bought her.

The Gold Coast marketing tycoon – who left the show last week after splitting from ‘wife’ Sandy Jawanda – was previously linked to nurse Samantha Symes.

Dan and Samantha, one of the wedding guests at his TV nuptials, had been spotted kissing just a day after the episode aired, which reportedly prompted a legal letter from the network for the spoiler behaviour.
