Married At First Sight stars Ines and Jessika slam show in racy mag spread

MAFS stars Ines and Jessika have disrobed for a racy shoot — and spent the accompanying interview slagging off the show that made them famous.

MAFS 2019: Where are the cast now?

Married At First Sight stars Ines Basic and Jessika Power have slammed the show that made them famous in a new interview and shoot with men’s magazine Maxim.

The dating show contestants both stripped down for a racy shoot with the lad’s mag — and in the accompanying interview, they made the not-so-startling claim that not all you see on reality TV is actually reality.

Basic went as far as to say she regrets signing up for MAFS.

“If I had to redo the show, I would never sign up to go on it,” she announced.

“My only regrets are giving people my time of day when they didn’t deserve it. Deep down I knew they weren’t worth my time and they would never make it to my future.”

She described her experience on the show as “way too controlled” and “just purely disappointing” and had some sage advice for other reality TV hopefuls hoping to make it onto the show: Stay away.

“Probably just stay at home. It’s full-on. The filming hours are long, the conversation you engage in is directed by producers … it’s all very controlled. You can’t speak unless there is film crew around, you can’t do anything you want because you’re closely monitored at all times,” she said.

Basic, who was one of the most controversial contestants on this year’s season of MAFS due to her treatment of “husband” Bronson Norrish and her affair with Sam Ball, claimed she didn’t know much about MAFS before signing on for the show as she didn’t watch reality TV, but contestants “may as well be contracted as an actor”.

Power also criticised the show, telling Maxim, “The public think it’s gospel and everything that happens on the show is real … It isn’t real life, it’s TV.”

The MAFS “troublemakers” are no strangers to controversy, with Basic sparking concern for her wellbeing in May after posting a series of X-rated Instagram story updates.

She joked about taking drugs, practising a sex act and even bestiality in the bizarre posts that mostly featured photos of her taken by paparazzi.

Power, meanwhile, has spent $50,000 altering her appearance since her time on MAFS, undergoing cosmetic enhancements to her face, teeth and most recently her breasts.

“I’ve always been told I look fake, even prior to having anything done. And without sort of blowing my own horn, it’s just because I am a pretty girl. People are calling me fake and putting my beauty down to procedures,” she told news.com.au last week.

The full interview and shoot with the MAFS stars is in the new issue of Maxim, out today.
